I have posted on here before about my youngest cat, he has many names, Piggy being the most popular. He is rude, loud, and eats more than any cat I have ever known. What he gives in the love department completely makes it all worth it. I just want to share his story.

I've had him for almost a year now. He was about 8 weeks when I got him. He started having seizures when he was about 3 months old. He didn't have any more after starting seizure meds. About a month ago, he had another seizure. During the seizure, he bit down on the pad of his paw and hurt it pretty bad. His medicine was doubled. I had to separate him from his 2 sister cats because they were getting FHV symptoms. The vet said to keep him away from them until they got better. We have no clue of what causes his seizures and him getting sick could possibly make things worse. While in the basement (we spend most of our time there so he was not alone), he must of had another seizure. He has new wounds on his foot pads.

The saddest part of the whole story, he doesn't remember his sisters. The seizure must have cleaned all memories of them. He is hissing and picking fights. He was so close to Boomer (one of the cats) before this. Everything they did, they did together. He will not go near them now. He thought that life in the basement was his life. He lost all memories of "upstairs life".

So sad, I hate this for him! I can only imagine how hard it must be, forgetting life as you know it at the blink of an eye, not once but over and over! He is not the same cat now. He doesn't really seem curious anymore. He sits differently, he used to sit "at attention" with his chest out. Now he has a lazy hunch. Something is missing in his eyes. I wonder if he is in pain.

Thanks for listening (or reading)

Hi there... poor baby is right...
About his sisters: It might just be a case for a re-introduction... Cats "forget" other cats pretty quickly, even within a week or two, and usually a re-introduction will bring things back to normal. This is not at all uncommon... Is there any other room upstairs where you can confine him for a few days? Not in the basement... A bathroom, or a bedroom where your other cats can smell him, and play with him from under the door?
You will need to do a scent exchange, and start from the beginning.
Here is an article about introduction

Also, make sure you talk to your vet about these new developments...
