Unfortunately, she stalked the front door and made a break for it the other day, and we just couldn't catch her fast enough. It's been really nice out the last few days, so I just let her stay out there - she's stayed right in the yard as per usual, and I just caught her sitting inside the igloo I got from Kai Bengals to use as her winter shelter.

I think what I may wind up doing is to try to bring her indoors at night but leave her outside in the daytimes for a bit. As long as it's not pouring rain and above freezing, she's happy outside, but I think she definitely liked sleeping on my bed, and there were no major altercations with the other cats, so I think that's my current game plan.

Note to Otto: I did add a completely separate litter box for her but she refused to use it. Since then, the other cats have started using it.

Well, I brought her indoors for a bit just now and she is really fearful of Max, who has obviously decided that the new girl needs to start towing the line and accepting HIM as Alpha. He's now getting aggressive with her: I caught him huffing at her, his tail all puffed out and she was on her back in a corner to defend herself.

Definitely not a wonderful development, but Max IS the king around here. I guess since she chose not to be friendly, he decided to get tough with her instead.

She's cuddled up on my lap as I type this, but has an almost constant growl going on. She's very trusting of me, but NOT happy to be back in with the population. Poor Sissycat.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
I can picture Max and Sissy perfectly. Took our Spooky 6 months to stop growling at Ming Loy.

Sounds like you've got a plan to keep Sissy warm and dry!
