I'm so sad, but happy at the same time. She went home with two of our best friends who live in Conneticut. They stayed with us for a week, and brought down their Rottie, and Cain(the Rottie) and Peanut got along great so that's a good thing. It was just heartbreaking actually fixing up her carrier, finding her favorite toys, lining the carrier with a t-shirt and towel (her favorites), giving instructions.......

Yeah, I'm going to miss that little brat. One good thing is they are supposed to come back down for Christmas and I told them they HAVE to bring her or else they stay in a hotel!

Aw, sorry you had to say goodbye. But I'm happy she found a good home.

Doing what's right and good for kitties even when it hurts us is the definition of a hero in my book.

I am, unfortunately, unable to let go of the cats after fostering/socializing them, so I can no longer foster cats.

MAJOR <<<<hugs>>>> and kudos to you!!!!

Thanks guys! She did go to a great home, and Cain (the rottie) is just THRILLED to have another animal in the house. Got an update today, and Cain is SO protective of her! To the point where if they are busy making dinner and Peanut is laying in the middle of the kitchen floor (her favorite lounging place, for some reason) he will stand over her to make sure she doesn't get stepped on. And he grooms her!! How cute is that!! He did that when they were down here and I didn't get a chance to get pics, which is what always happens. Grab the camera and turn around and the kitten is prancing off somewhere else and the moment is gone. Maybe I should start wearing a camera around my neck at home. But, just picture a full grown MALE Rottie licking a kitten....and the expression on the kitten's face while he's doing it!!

At least I'm her auntie now...still miss the little thing.....
