Hi all,

I'm a bit worried about Maro, she has been bringing her food back up over the last three evenings, but only once and only in the evening each time. She is otherwise fine, healthy, playful - goes back to eating almost immaedietly each time. She keeps her food down the rest of the day (has an open bowl) and keeps down what she eats after the initial regurgitation. All the food seems to be only partially digested when she brings it up (you can see the bits of kibble.) I did notice a few bits of hay (which I feed my rabbit) in her vomit this evening. Could this be the cause? I will be phoning the vet first thing tomorrow to find out if I need to take her in (I'm inclined to anyway though...) but, if anyone has any input as to what the cause could be, fire away.

She may be eating too fast? The hay may factor in too. My cat Bubble started vomiting after eating for no reason.

I took her to the vets, and she checked out fine. They said it could be an ingredient in the food that does not agree with her.

I didn't change food, and now she never throws up. Go figure! Hopefully someone will come along with more info than I can give you. Good luck!

I phoned the vet this morning and he doesn't seem to be overly concerned as she is showing no other signs of illness. He said to feed less more often and possibly worm her (she has been wormed recently though, so I don't think that's it) Other than that, I should just keep an eye on her and take her in just to check if it keeps happening.

Can you feed more wet and less dry, or even no dry?

Kibble isn't good for cats, for a plethora of reasons (do a search on the "Dangers of Dry Foods), but one of them is the "inhalant" factor - the cats swallows the food so fast she gets an upset tummy and right back up the food comes.
