Hi everyone. I need to put together a first aid kit for my indoor only cat, Precious. What should I put in it?

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

That is an excellent question.
Let's see.....
-Thermometer
-Surgical jelly/lubricant
-Gauze and bandage tape
-Eye ointment (something like chloramphincol or vetropolycin good for lubricating eyes or treating minor irritations)
-Peroxide (to induce vomiting if you see them eat something toxic)
-Karo syrup (for hypoglycemia)
-An easily assessable thick towel (to hold a hurt/aggressive kitty)
Gosh...I really can't think! This really is a wonderful question and I'm sure others can add to this.

Quote:
| Corrosives(strong acid, alkali or petroleum-based substances) are found in household cleaners, drain unblocker and commercial solvents. When ingested, they cause burns of the mouth, oesophagus and stomach. Severe cases are associated with acute perforation (or late stricture) of the oesophagus and stomach. Rinse out your cat's mouth. Administer water or soda pop by mouth (one ounce per six pounds body weight), then give two teaspoons of vegetable oil once - do not induce vomiting! |
