Sho doesn't like kisses much. He's not a very affectionate cat. *shrug* Oh well. ^^; My friends jokingly say he's very much like me in that manner.

Some of mine love kisses, and some of them will respond enthuasiastically. For instance, some of my cats when I rub three fingers together in the air above their head and make kissing noises with my head lowered torwards them will headbutt me and in the proccess kiss me back as I lean in to kiss them when they do this.

It's adorable. They love this. They do this with each other, so I know it's a definite sign of affection in their eyes, and I find, if you express their behaviors with each other, back to them, you form closer bonds with them, because it's a language they understand.

not really. penny can sort of tolerate them. daisy's tolerance is higher.

what they seem to prefer is what i call "the standard cat greeting" (my nose to their nose --very close but rarely touching)

speaking only about my 2 cats, i think it confuses them
So instead I prefer to do the nose-to-nose thing because I think they understand it better(?). Penny has licked my hand. I ocassionally catch Daisy licking my toes.

Peaches loves to kiss me, I just don't know what she thinks of mine, is it the same idea? or is it scent marking??? anyway, it's bonding.

^Depending on where you're kissing, they just think it's you grooming them.

I have one cat that doesn't like it much. I do not know how she was treated in her old home - I doubt she was abused, but she wasn't socialized as well as she should have been. I can give her a couple kisses on her head, sometimes, and then she'll cower and lick her lips. Licking her lips is her nervous gesture.

The rest like it a lot, even the most wild of the kittens.

And NO, I don't kiss kitties on the mouths! I know where those mouths have been.

Some love it some hate it.

Levi, anything Mom does to give him attention is good with him.
Jordan, only allows kisses if food is involved.
Isaac, doesn't really care for them, much perfers a mutual head rub.
Maggie, Doesn't really like them, but allows them for a moment.

Our shelter's Mascot Baron, HATES kisses on the head. He used to be feral, but now LOVES attention from people. It's taken years, but we can now carry him back to his cage. I and a couple other volunteers love to steal kisses. I give him kisses on his head as I'm taking him back to the cage, but you should see his face. It's the funniest thing, he will scrunch up his little face like we are hurting him.

Ollie loves them. Ally is indifferent.

The problem in this answer is that I just admitted that I give my cats kisses. So, for the record, I never said that.

Hehehe. Soon you'll be sporting a shirt that says "Real Men Love Cats." No shame in that
My coworker (an attorney even) always stops by when I put up new pictures of the Squeaky and comments on how adorable she is and how much she reminds him of his old cat.

Of course, real men love cats. It's not a sign of weakness.
I used to give Sam a nuzzle every hour it seemed or he used to come up to me and head-butt my face.

I'm sure Squeaky would probably appreciate it more if I were to lick her, but um yeah, no
I'll just stick to kissing her fuzzy little head.
Some do, Max and Frank and Barney love it. Fred swiped at my face when i tried to kiss him so haven't tried again, but he may have just been in a bad mood, cos he is usually really sweet.

Harley loves to get and give kisses. Sometimes alittle too much on the giving. But its sweet and I love his lovey purrsonality.

Jack likes to show affection other ways, if I kiss him I feel like he's rolling his eyes saying "geez mom the other kids can see you, stop". But he does come and get under the covers with me and hubby in the AM--the other cats dont' do that.

Pepper has been loved and snuggled on since she was 24 hours old and she'll take it but doesn't really give it. She gives love to her big brother Harley very nicely, but not to daddy or meowmy. I can snuggle her in my arms like a baby and rub her belly and kiss and she'll take it.
