Has this happend to anyone when they entered a cat show?

I had entered both cats in last sundays show and the entry clerk said she had got both entries.
She also said the show might be full and she would let me now the next day.
I get a email a few days after that saying she did have room and Wrinkles is entered.
She said she never got anything with Cleos name after she sent me a email that she had.
I was just going to take Cleo and not show her.
Then we get there sunday and we pay with a check.
We go to the benching area and my name is not on anything.
In the catalog it just has my name and Wrinkles number.
Nothing else was in there.
So my husband asked the master clerk what is going on and he said the judges have all the info so its ok.
Then the show starts late because the judges have wrong info for alt of the cats.
This the first time they did a 6x6 out here and it was all confusion.
Today I get a email saying sorry you did not come to the show and to pay before the next CFA show.
Not only that is was about 58 in the show hall.
Everyone has told me everything was messed up with thier entries also.
I have to think jard and decide if I want to go to this clubs show again.

WOW someone really dropped the ball on this one. Central office will be very livid and upset if a lot of entries are so messed up.

I try to enter at least 3-4 weeks before a show so I know they will be in properly. But I had it happen that when I got to the show, they had Jack entered one day only even tho it was verified as both days and paid for both - so they had to make a paper correction for Central Office's records and have the judges correct their books.

I don't blame you for not wanting to go to that club again!

I am very mad right now.
I just sent her a email saying I do not know what is going in there and it needs to be fixed.
My next step will be the CFA central office if this is not fixed.
Did that happen at a CFA show with Jack?

Please don't take this experience as "normal." There are several entry clerks in this region that don't make mistakes like this.

Your experience sounds very frustrating. I hope you have not had the same problems with other entry clerks and other CFA shows.

I always follow up my show entries with a separate message to the entry clerk that includes several pieces of information, and I keep sending messages until I get a response from the entry clerk. Most of them reply within an hour unless they are at a show. I also always keep a copy of the entry that I submitted. If there are any questions about the wrong information on your confirmation, you can always check to make sure you entered the correct information on your show entry. You can also include a copy of your entry in your follow-up message to the entry clerk.

I hope you continue to enter CFA shows in this area. We need all the exhibitors we can get to keep our shows close.

No Jacky - it was at one of his ACFA shows. He's only been to one CFA show (picked up the 6 winners ribbons). The next CFA show is end of January and hope he can get finals for grand premier points.

I have never had this happen at a CFA show before.
I will not stop showing in CFA butmay not go to that clubs show.
The next show I am going to is the Vallejo.Ca Christmas show.
The worse part is I did send her seperate emails and she said she got both of my cats.
I just hope there were not people there that were showing for thier first time.
Martice,
Good Luck with Jack at the next CFA show.
Wrinkles next show is a TICA show.
I doubt I will be able to grand Cleo because I still do not trust her.
I am waiting 4 months before I show her again like her breeder said to.
I am also looking for a good show cat.
The judges like Cleo better then Wrinkles.
The ones that really love Cleo did not have much to say about Wrinkles.

As someone who has never run a show or been entry officer, and doesn't want to be, I just go along and appreciate all the hard work that is done - regardless of any errors that are made. It's just a cat show, not worth getting all worked up over.

I told her it was ok when she forgot Cleo but now she keeps asking for money for Wrinkles when I paid and saying Wrinkles was not there.

Can you send her a copy of your cancelled check to show that you paid? Is this the show that you were advised not to attend? I remember you writing about a show that people at other shows suggested you not attend.

In defense of mews, the main reason she is 'getting worked up' is because she is being asked to pay for a cat that she in fact did pay for. If someone asked you to pay again for something you already paid for, I'd doubt you'd be happy to just hand them the money again. Mews did not make the mistake and should not have to hand over money just because.

That being said, I am always polite and patient with the entry clerk. I am fully aware they do not get paid for this stuff and that it IS difficult work. However, that does not give them a free pass to charge for a cat that has already been paid for.

Exactly Star - she should not pay again. But it seems like there was a heck of a lot of "mistakes" at this show - not only for Jacky but for a lot of other people.

That show was a mess.
I wrote the entry clerk and she emailed me back saying sorry.
I do understand mistakes are made sometimes but this was a mess.
They tried to do a 6x6 show with 2 different clubs and it caused confusion.
My friend is a entry clerk and a master clerk at the TICA shows.
She also will be a TICA judge.
She still needs a sponsor though.

It's not like she can't prove she payed, cheques or money orders unlike cash can be traced.

Does the sponsor have to be another judge? If so, can Ed do it?

I have no idea.

Mistakes aside, do you have any idea why Wrinkles is not as well liked as Cleo? I like them both but am partial to Wrinkles - I think it may be the blue eyes.

Yes I do.
Wrinkles breeding does not show and I am the first one to show a cat from her cattery.
She has to much fur on her tail right now also.
Cleo is bald.

Jacky can you post a newer pic(s) of Wrinkles - I'd like to really see how she looks now.
