Would this be ok for a cat with a history of struvite crystals and allergies?

Ingredients:
Venison, Venison Broth, Natural Flavors, Carrageenan, Potassium Chloride, Minerals, Guar Gum, Vitamins, Choline Chloride, Herring Oil, Salt, Sodium Ascorbate, Taurine, Sunflower Oil, Sodium Phosphate, Beta Carotene

Guaranteed Analysis %:
Moisture (max) \t78
Crude Protein (min) \t10
Crude Fat (min) \t10
Ash (max) \t2.3
Crude Fiber (max) \t1
Carbohydrates NFE (max) \t1

Earlier this year Ohki had some issues with scabs due to allergies. At the time the allergies started up she was eating a mix of Blue Wilderness, and Authority: Sensitive Solutions dry, and a wide variety of wets. I switched her to Natural Balance Green Pea and Duck dry and wet, and it got worse. So, we got her a steroid shot at the vet, and switched her to California Natural Chicken and Rice dry. She's been eating that since April and has gotten much better, but she still has a few minor scabs at the base of her tail. I am wanting to switch her to canned only.

Allergies , yes venison is usually good for those .. Crystals issues I would call the company and get the breakdown of the ash contents

Thanks so much for the quick response! I know you probably get this a lot, but you are so helpful, Sharky!

I'll have to be extra diligent during meal times to make sure she doesn't sneak off to eat another cat's food.

It would appear you have the hard job

Ugh, I think I transitioned the food too quickly. She's had pudding poop for a few days now. So I'm giving her some chicken/broth babyfood until that is resolved. I bought a jar of Eagle Pack Holistic Transition Supplement. Hopefully she'll do better with the supplement.

Hi Washu,
This happened to my baby Cheetah too. And I did all of the above you mentioned. Just be patient, because it can take up 10 days to have normal stool. My Cheetah still have "cookie-dough" poops. And I still give him Eagle Pack Holistic Solution every day. I also keep mixing baby food with his canned food.

Thanks for the encouraging post. I'm going to have to buy more baby food so I can more slowly transition her.

I feed Evo 95% Venison to my allergy cat, and he's also the only cat that *knock on wood* has never had a urinary issue. It's been a year and a half since I started feeding it and he does really great on that food.

Ok, now it seems the other 3 cats are also having diarrhea. I'm wondering if it's a problem with this new bag of California Natural, or if the other 3 were sampling Ohki's canned food. I bought some chicken breast that I'm going to boil, and feed them a bland diet. I can't afford to feed 4 cats baby food, that stuff is expensive for such a small jar.

Sorry to hear that. I would think bland diet is the same as baby food technically. I hope your cats will get well soon.
