Show weekend - Nov 7th

Three cats from my very first litter were in 2 different shows on each end of the US.

Mautrix Altaira - Maryland - Is now a Grand Champion
Mautrix Zahra (hernia kitten) - Longiew Wa. - Is now a Champion Premiere
Mautrix Safiya of Azshara - Longview Wa. - Is now a Champion

At our show, my sister and I each had our cats entered as open. Zahra finaled in one ring and got 6th best cat. The judge actually walked over to us and asked me why I spayed her. I had to tell her she was born with a hernia, and she said that was too bad because she was a beautiful Mau.

Safiya didn't final, but she got 2nd best of breed once against a silver Champion and a Smoke Champion.

So, now I can compete for Grand points if I wish, and I have an idea of the competition in the 'area'. Two Mau breeders were at this show, one with a kitten.

Congrats!! What a terrific weekend for you and your cats. PM me the name of the judge who said such nice things about Zahra as well as the other two catteries present. Inquiring minds want to know!

What association does CH PR? Just curious. Our Desexed cats have titles that start with Premier and our Entire section start with Champion.

Big congratulations! Well done.

I imagine I got the titles wrong. Both cats, one altered and one entire, got their points for the Championship title. That is six winners ribbons each in All-Breed rings.

It's probably Premier and not Champion, for the altered one.

I only show cats in CFA.

In CFA you have Champion and Grand Champion (entire cats) and Premier and Grand Premier for the altered ones.

In ACFA you have Champion and Grand Champion (either whole or altered) - the entire cats don't have a title after the status, but in the alter classes you would have Champion Alter or Grand Champion Alter.
