Question of the Day Nov 8th

Morning All!!!!

Sorry about being a little late this morning, actually slept in for an extra hour. It was nice to get a little extra rest.

Anyway today's question is this:

Do you watch any reality based TV Shows?

In my case I am not really a big fan of reality based TV shows. Shows like American Idol or Dancing with the stars hold no interest to me at all. However one show that I have started watching and do enjoy is Deadliest Catch. I have developed a real respect for those fisherman and how difficult their jobs are. I'll tell you these guys must be pretty brave to stand out on those decks in the middle of a storm..

I don't watch reality shows much either. Except for Deadliest Catch which I've seen a few times, and DH and I are quite into Ice Road Truckers. It's an eye opening series!

Yes I have watch Ice Road Truckers a couple of times as well. I get nervous just watching that show man those guys must have nerves of steel.

Ghost Hunters, and occasionally Destination Truth (if there's nothing else on after GH).

Almost all of the other stuff I watch is documentaries, but I doubt science or history stuff counts as reality tv.

Other than that, you're more likely to find me reading.

I watch dancing with the stars when I have time, and I tivo project runway and watch when I am extremely bored. Even when I have the shows recorded I can't stand how they make it longer for no reason, like the suspense they add by not saying who is out quick enough..Ughh no, I hate that sort of suspense to the point where I wont' watch. And how they add teasers right before the commercial break...can't stand it.

Here comes the first party pooper, I guess. I have no use for the genre.

I watched Ice Road Truckers last winter, was fascinating. Also am ashamed to say I got hooked on Canada's Worst Handyman and Canada's Worst Driver, but in the defence of the shows, you can learn something from them, particularly the handyman show. Also watched Jockeys - it is like a train wreck in that you cannot stop watching to see who will make the next dumb statement.

Second party pooper except for Deadliest Catch. I now know why crab is soooo expensive. They deserve the high pay. But I don't really consider DC reality tv. It is more like a documentary. It is not contrived like Dancing with Stars or American Idol. It's real life. I don't understand the lure of these things. I have never seen either or any other shows like them. I have to watch DC under a blanket, honestly, it makes me cold just watching them!

Oh yes, I am disgusting.

I watch The Bachelor, ANTM, SYTYCD, Big Brother...

I hate "reality" TV. I wonder if there are so many on television because it's cheaper than paying for writers and actors.

I like Dancing With the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, and occasionally watch a judge show.

I watch so you think you can dance.

I am a reality TV junkie. I've watched some of the most stupidest ones, but still, I found them entertaining. Some of my favorites are Big Brother, ANTM, American Idol, and Amazing Race. I also like some reality programs, that I don't really consider reality. I love Ice Road Truckers, but also watch Little People Big World, Little Couple, Cake Boss. I guess they are reality, but I think they're are less reality than Big Brother or Survivor.

There's a couple that I enjoy on occassion when I'm not busy studying.

I like Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Flowers Uncut, 18 Kids & Counting, The Little Couple, The Biggest Looser, Deliver Me, Ice Road Truckers, and some of the Animal Cops shows that come on Animal Planet.

Of course that's why there are so many of them. And also because people watch them.

I watch American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance, but I don't think of them as reality shows so much as talent shows. I have been known to watch ANTM as well, and I've caught a few eposides of Ice Road Truckers and UFO Hunters (cause DH watches them).

I watch Ice Road Truckers, its great, I used to watch Big Brother over here but I have really gone off it, I haven't watched it for a few years. I will be watching I'm a celeberity get me out of here when it starts soon.x

That's exactly why. Blech!

My hubby and I LOVE Deadliest Catch and haven't missed an epsiode in several seasons.

Somehow this past summer we got sucked into Big Brother. I normally hate those kind of reality shows be we were so into it we even watched Big Brother after dark.

I watch DANCING WITH THE STARS and TOP CHEF.
