Suddenly talky cat

Ella, who I don't think I have heard meow five times in the year plus that we've had her, is suddenly talking a blue streak.

I'm guessing it has something to do with Jeeves, who is isolated in the bathroom and is making noise on a regular basis. Ella seems upset and not herself.

Any change in the household will do that. As long as none of her other more serious behaviors change (in relation to stress), just talk back to her.

If she's really showing signs of being upset you can try the usual regimen of feliway and rescue remedy.

The funny thing is that she didn't have that reaction the first time he was here.

Cats are funny. Who knows exactly what is going through their heads. You changed something and apparently she feels she has to let everyone know her opinion about it.

I have one who's currently, at this moment, hiding her toys in DH's shoes, of all places... I have no idea why she does this.

I woke up at 3:30 the other morning to find all the cats' toys piled in front of my open bedroom door, like some kind of offering.

The next morning, they were all scattered around the house.

There's no knowing what goes on in the mind of a cat.

That or they were trying to barricaded you in and couldn't move the furniture... I'd believe that of my cats.
