he has a circle of skin on his belly that is rotting away, and i has three slits around it, so there are three holes in his belly. every week it is another thing. I think he will probably have to have another surgery, so that is three in three weeks. I'm so sad for him.

I am so sorry, Joliskaluv, you've really been through a lot lately. Poor brave Gary.

Major hugs and comfort to you both.

I called emergency, and they called his dr for me, and dr Ian called me back after hours, and said that he would call me tomorrow to see if it has gotten worse, and that i could bring him in if there is a problem. He said because he is eating, he wants him to just rest tonight. so i will hopefully find out more tomorrow. Gary is so brave, and silent. He has to be in a lot of pain. I have one dose of pain meds left, and I hope they have been helping him.

I'm so sorry to hear this, and will be thinking about you and Gary today. I hope he doesn't need more surgery and that the vet can make him feel better.

Sending good vibes your way!

If it's any consolation, I'm am spending too many days at my vet's office, too!

Gary came home today. His incisions are looking fantastic, he isn't leaking, and he ate almost 1.5 cans of food, more than he has eaten at one time in weeks. he tried to escape outside today, and when I brought him home, he was climbing all around the car. He is acting more normal than he has in at least a month.
He is starting some new medication next week. I have to call Dr. Ian on Thursday to let him know how Gary is doing. So Gary did have the surgery to get rid of the dead skin, etc...and the vet didn't charge me for this last surgery.
Is it appropriate to send a thank you card to Gary's dr and the clinic? I'm so happy that Gary is feeling tons better.

YEAHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Thank GOD! I was worried about your little boy!
Definitely a thank you card would be appropriate - it is never a bad thing... and he is going to be in Gary's life for a while...
That was very nice of him -

Hi! I just wanted to add my well wishes to you and Gary. I don't know his story and will be heading into your older threads to catch up on him after I post this.

I love hearing your good news! Thanks for the photos! Gary has such a noble face and expressive eyes. I'm sure your vet's office will appreciate a note. I should do it for mine, too. Good idea!

Gary is still doing great. Eating, loving, cuddling. I woke up early this morning and had a hazy vision of him curled up tight, sound asleep. He hasn't been able to rest like that on his own for awhile. the only time before that I remember him sound asleep was after he came home from his first surgery, and I put him to sleep by rubbing his face and neck and ears. He slept hard then.

Aw, your babies are beautiful. You are right; Gary and CJ could be brothers. they have the same look.
Gary doesn't appear as sick as he was, but he has started to withdraw, again. I've been busy recently, so perhaps he is needing some good cuddles. He has started chemo, but doesn't seem to have had any problems. I will need to take him to the vet, though, to check his bloodwork.
I really am glad to have this forum, and have a group of people who understand how special my boy is to me, and who care about him. Thanks.

Yes, I love this site too. I don't do a lot of posting, but I read about everything and have gotten a lot of good tips! And, there is NO doubt that everyone on here just loves their kids as much as we love ours!!
Extra SPECIAL for a speedy recovery for Gary!
