Marlow on his terms

Marlow is adapting to the indoors very well. He still gets to go out some, usually for a few hours just before dawn. His initial nervousness has all but faded away in this first week of mostly indoor life.

A friend stopped by last evening. A big guy with a loud voice. Sasha, our other former feral, ran and hid as he has always done for the three years he has been here. Marlow didn't even leave the room. He just laid there on his new fleece bed. Not a peek or a peep.

I hope Sasha learns to "be cool" like Marlow. I'm betting he will.

So, you've already gotten him his own bed eh?

I'm curious - now that he is spending the better part of his time indoors, is he still your wife's cat or is he warming up to you more?

Way to go Marlow!!

Sasha will be learning how to be social from Marlow!

That's great news.

Marlow will come to Becky and let her scratch him. He will not come to me unless I have food. I offer him the back of my hand and he will come close enough to sniff but then quickly retreats. I fooled him today for a second. I put bacon grease on my hand. He does allow me to be in closer proximity. Closer, it seems, every day. The question now is; will Becky get to pick him up before I get to pet him.

I don't know about social. Marlow is just not nervous like Sasha has always been.
