Cat has lost her mind I thin!

Ok, so here's the story. I have a lot of outside cats. i live on a farm and people just drop them off like I need them. But that's ok, cause I have a huge heart and love cats. I take care of them all, have taken them all to the vets regularly and feed them very well.
they are all fixed now. Except for one, because he doesn't like me to get near him so I haven't been able to catch him.
Anyway...the crazy cat problem. I have a cat name Tiger. She was born here because her mother was dropped off while she was pregnant. She was here for about 5 months and then one day she decided she didn't like us anymore and she disappeared. She would come home about once a week , eat and be on her way. This went on for about two years. When she was here, she was normal, just hated me. then about 4 months ago she came home with two little kittens following her and has been here ever since. (I have since had her spayed) She loves me now. The problem is, she's insane. she walks through the food bowls constantly, she runs into walls. If you pet her on the head she licks her foot. If you pick her up she just sits there and then falls off your lap. the vet says nothing is wrong with her. How can nothing be wrong??? I think she's nuts. She acts like she has brain damage. I actually think she may have damaged her inner ear because when she came home she had an ear infection that I got medicine for but she acts like she is off balance. Any thought???

I agree that an ear infection could have damaged your cat's inner ear. Also, if she's walking through the food dishes and running into walls, she could be blind. Something isn't right, and IMO you should get a second opinion from a different vet.

I checked the blindness thing...she follows my finger all around. I think second opinion is in order too. My vet is like 142 so he might be crazy too! LOL

my thoughts exactly from damaged innner ear, blindness to second opinion.

You're a real hero for taking care of all your farm cats, including the ones "donated" so well.

Welcome to the forum, and please keep us updated on Tiger.

Well then, inner ear problems from infection and/or brain damage from an accident could cause these problems. Hope you can find a good proactive vet, soon!

Does she drift to one side when she walks? She may be able to follow movement visually but has no depth perception, color blind, other neurological damage......
