Blue-Cream cats are almost always female. If you find a male - he would only gentically be a blue or a cream - he would not throw either color.
You can't have "black & cream" as cream is the dilute of red as blue is the dilute of black. So you can have a tortie (black & red). Again, if you have a tortie male, he's genetically a black or a red; not both colors.
Basic genetics:
Blue x blue-cream - you would get solid blues and blue-creams
Cream x blue-cream - solid creams and blue creams
