I am talking with Jacky and she said I could post about the kitten's arrival. This is what happened according to her:

"American Airlines gave my sisters sphynx to the wrong person but we stopped her. The lady did not even look to see if she had the right cat. I said thats sphynx and she turned around and my sister said I think that is my cat. My sister also got a phone call saying her puppy is ready. The lady at the counter told us sorry and told the guy he could get in so much trouble for making that kind of mistake."


I think that is terrible that happened.

The other sphynx is hissing and growling at her.
Cleo did also.
Wrinkles did not care.

Oh dear, but glad things are ok. It will take a few days or weeks to get everyone settled.

When we picked up Jack - there were 3 families waiting for pets - but at least the other two were waiting on dogs and not cats

Sounds better that way. I told Jacky I'd be afraid to trust the airlines, since they've even been reported to send kids to the wrong place. At least her sister got her cat though.

I did add however that when I fly for next year's annual (provided things work out), I will insist that my cat comes in cabin with me. I might have a bengal soon to show and it would be something to fly a bengal and end up at my destination with a sphynx

You know I will be at the Annual since it is 1.5 hours from here.
Not sure what cats will go yet.
Jazzy Cats puts on great shows.
You can get a hairy sphynx and pretend it is a Bengal LOL

Oh wow, sorry they messed up, that is a major mistake, and how could a person not CHECK to make sure they have the right animal! Oh well, at least you have 'em now! Good luck and hope all goes smoothly!

Actually, in theory that would be possible, if instead of using an American Shorthair, one crossed with a Bengal (too bad it isn't actually allowed). Ed explained how the Sphynx gene is recessive. That would be fun though. Maybe we'd have a laid back Bengal.

Some breeders are doing it anyway and they got bashed for it.
Of course there are no papers and it should not be done.
I know it is not allowed.
Sphynx are hyper cats lol not laid back.

Actually - it's really common for torties to have a half and half face. A US judge pointed it out to me that you can always find a split on a tortie's face where the colour is divided.

Agree on the unique markings. I know torties have that but never seen that kind of pattern before.

Jacky, will all 3 Sphynx eventually compete against each other? If so, you can use that as a guideline on what you are looking at for your future Sphnyx you get.

We were planning on showing all 3 of them against each other but Twilight is not shaped right in the stomach.
She does not have the sphynx pouch.
There are 3 other sphynx kittens being shown in CFA in our area right now.
They wer at the last 2 shows and 2 of them are almost the same age as our kittens.
I also heard there is a new sphynx kitten being shown in TICA.
That other sphynx being shown by this lady is the number 1 alter in TICA right now.
Eclipse is a Dilute Calico.

There were two judges who pointed out on my Maddie the stripe that goes down the back of her head. They talked about the torties USED TO have to have that when being judged, but they removed that from the rules?!? Anyway, Molly has it as well.

Whatever color she is said to be, she is gorgeous. I know she's a dilute obviously, but to me she looks tortie/white and not calico. Having said that, I am not a DNA expert and I know you posted her DNA results someplace. I also can't see her in person to make a judgement either. My Bonnie is a calico, and has much more white on her and then her colored spots.

Oh about the pouch, neither of my girls have that either. I am trying to beef them up, but it's not an easy task. Your girl is still very young and I'm sure the judges won't penalize her for not having it yet.

The DNA test I posted was for Wrinkles.
Wrinkles is my blue eyed sphynx.
I guess we will see what the judges say when my sister shows her.
Wrinkles and Eclipse have the pouch.
It is Twilight that doesnt ahve the pouch.
