I admit I erred when I did not fill your dry food 'dish' last night, however, it was not empty. There was enough left for a small snack for most of you, and besides, I wished to dump out the lumps of mud and other stuff you all dragged into the dish. Last night, being night, and therefore DARk, was not a good time to remove the detritis from the bottom of the feed pan; it is a daylight job because the little light over the door is just that, a little light that glows feebly. Therefore, I chose to let you 'starve' until noon chores as there were fewer items to drag into the barn.
Please be advised that none of you can eat through that plastic coated 'burlap' bag containing your food, nor can you claw through it. It is also difficult to fill your pan when the horses are trying to help. There are a few reasons for this such as: A) they are BIGGER than any of us; B) they think any bag contains horse treats; C) Mr Fussy is NOT above taking a mouthful or five of catfood, and he doesn't shove out of the way. Keeping this in mind, I figured the horses should go out before I filled your dish.
Also, please be advised that I cannot undo the stitching at the top of the bag with 3 cat heads in the way and the rest of you winding around my ankles. Also be advised that 8 kilos of food topped by 5 kilos of cat is an unweildy object prone to shredding hands and is impossible to move so I can see to undo the stitching you parked your largish butt on. Also be advised that attacking the string is prohibited behaviour as is crawling into the bag when I am trying to fill your dish. Sitting IN said dish is also prohibited because there is only room for one or two cat bodies or one bag of food in the dish; sitting in the dish makes the food scatter all over the dirt floor and we all know that outside of Gimpy, no one eats off the floor.
Happy eating, kitties
