hi,

i am new to this site.
just wanted to say that we have a turkish van and turkish angora cat mix.
she was one kitten out of four that a feral cat had at our house last year.
our previous cat "penelope" died last year. we had her for almost 18 years, raised her from a kitten and she was a house cat.
my wife made me into a cat lover years ago.
i was wondering if anyone else has a turkish van or turkish angora cat?
our cat "delilha" loves water (she even jumps in the tub with my wife) is very vocal (i think she tried to talk), loves to play and is very loving.
she will not have anything to do with anyone else except me and my wife.
just let us know if anyone else has any of these beautiful cats.
we love her and she has always been "daddy's girl".

Most of us have accounts with a photo hosting site like photobucket.

Aristotle's mother was supposed to have been a turkish angora but his daddy was a sneaky tom.
So I have a short haired, large white cat.

What part of Kentucky do you live?

i had never heard of a turkish van cat until i saw it on the discovery channel. i did some research on them and found out why our cat loves water.
she is very intellegent, very loyal, and tries to talk to us all the time.
we love her very much and she is a delight to have in our lives.

Welcome...
I see that you figured out how to add pictures.
Are you sure that lovely Delilha isn't a mermaid?

She is amazing.

I sent a private message to you about avatars.
See you around the site.

Welcome to TCS!!!

Here's my sweet little Turkish Angora, Isabella

all tucked in

sleeping

Isabella is an odd-eyed Turkish Angora (think you can see it in this pic)

Izzy & her little orange kitty (you put it in the microwave and it keeps kitty warm).

Turkish Angoras are long-haired, but unlike most other longhairs, they have a single coat (so it doesn't mat easily) This is what her fur/coat type looks like. It feels like satin to the touch.
