I was approved!

I got an email this morning that we were approved to adopt Ringo the Siamese kitten. Well he's probably a mix, but I don't care. I don't know if we'll change his name or not. I sent off payment today and they will make his vet appointment next week then I can pick him up on the 13th. I know I was going to look into being a foster parent, but when I saw him on petfinder I fell in love with his face. I was actually afraid I wasn't going to be approved and I was all prepared for the rejection. I was shocked to see we were approved. My husband (who's not a very big cat person) has already claimed him as his cat. I'll post some pics when we get him. I just hate that I have to wait so long.

Congrats!


If you dream about being a foster family, it doesnt hurt to have already a friendly cat.
some shelters prefer the foster is alone cat.
But in many situations it is a big advantage with a friendly resident.
Especielly fostering shy semiferales: it gets much easier.

Do you have a Petfinder link where we can see him?

Siamese cats are almost dog-like in some of their habits, and they can make a great "guy cat."

Yay! He's adorable. From the pic you posted in the other thread, it's hard to tell if he actually has any Siamese in him....but that will probably be evident once you've had him a while. Meezers sure have a lot of personality . I'm sure he'll be a fine addition to your family.

Actually they took him off. Here is a small pic.



He may not be Siamese at all, but that's okay too. I just think he's cute.
