Rags is getting surgery today

Rags has really perked up in the last couple of days. Yesterday she ate on her own and she ate quite a bit. She still hasn't pooped, though. Maybe this is an intestinal obstruction after all. I'll find out after they open her up. I'm waiting anxiously for a call. But the good news is that she feels much better. The vet prescribed antibiotics and vitamins on Monday and by Tuesday night she was acting like her old self again. This morning she greeted me when I came in the room and rubbed herself on my legs. She hasn't done that since before she got sick.

Thank you Darli. The suspense is killing me. I called the vet on my lunch break and he said her blood work (which I didn't know they were going to do) came back fine except that she's a bit anemic. It's 21 as opposed to the normal 30 red blood cell count. He said her color was a bit better than on Monday. I know that she feels a lot better and ate on her own yesterday. Well, he said they were about to start the surgery. I hope they are willing to work with me on payments. I expect this bill will be more than I can pay when it's all done, but at least it's getting done. I just can't stand the wait. I need to concentrate on my work and wait for them to call.
