Our cats just had a feline leukemia booster and rabies shot yesterday. They are about 1 and half years old and are both very lethargic and are not eating. How long does this last? One of them also had some diarrhea prior to the shot and it got worse. Went back to the vet with him and got a shot and some cat kaopectate. Is this normal?

It happens often enough, but it's not good.
Generally it's normal for them to feel bad the evening of their vet visit and get better by the morning - if not it warrants a vet visit. If they're still sick days later it's definitely bad.

Keep an eye out for any fevers.

and then next time I wouldn't give them feline leukemia vaccines... most people don't anymore - they can cause a lot of problems that I am not going into it right now, but yes, DO pay close attention to your kitties and if the symptoms persist cal the vet.

^ I agree. I feel they're really only useful for kittens, since adult cats can resist infection.

Please update later and let us know how the cats are feeling.

The female is much better today and eating. The male still hasn't eaten and is not feeling well. The diarrhea has stopped. We are going back to the vet tomorrow if he still hasn't eaten.
