Wellness Core - some issues

Neko is eating Wellness Core dry kibble and 1 can of wet food per day.
Lately her poop has not been solid. It resembles a pee clump. As we were transitioning, her pooping was fine, but since we've transitioned 100% Core it has given her issues. No throwing up, she likes the taste, just the restroom issues.
I don't want to return the Core so any suggestions on another grain free dry that I can mix that will lower the core richness and not upset her tummy?

no ... the closet you will get is wilderness by blue .. not a grain free but simplier fomula

may look at Natural balance for their allergy diets ... grain free but starch heavy ( okay most grain containing foods have more protein and fat )_

Thank you so much! I will try one of these!

Just looked at the two:
Going with Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diets Green Pea & Chicken Formula Dry Cat Food

Do I slowly transition until I reach 50/50 or until I notice better poop? Any suggestions on this?

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
I had poop issues and switched over to TOTW for mine and all poop issues were resolved once the switch was made and Hercules actually only eats out of the dish that is all TOTW and the other two eat out of the one that is mixed with Purina Indoor. Personally I would try and add TOTW..maybe you can order off the net for it?? I get mine at a tractor supply store locally

I went to TOTW web site and typed in my zip code! Plenty places near me sell it! yay! The closest is in Flower Mound, 10 min. away. It's called The Dog Lofts, had to call and make sure they had kitty stuff too

TOTW seems highly recommended around here so I'll pick some up soon.
Thanks again.

my guess is the quantity. how much are you feeding her? cats don't need nearlly as much CORE as they would other foods. Sprinkles will eat 4 tablespoons of EVO per meal(a very similar food).

For her age and weight the bag suggests 3/4c. I only give her 1/2c and wet food in the morning and afternoon. I purchased TOTW and am slowing adding it to Core. You're right about not needing as much Core because the 1/2c lasts her most of the day if not all 24hrs. She likes to eat a little at a time making multiple visits to her dry kibble. They also sell EVO and other great foods at the Dog Lofts, which actually ended up being part of City Vet. This place is awesome! Great foods and a vet associated with it!

Based on this info, her stools are still very runny and I don't want to add TOTW too fast. Is this safe, her stools for the time being?
She drinks plenty of water.

Only had TOTW for two days and just adding a less than 1/8c. What do you mean go a few steps back? The icky poo is still from the Core. We ran out of SD Nature's Best which is what she was eating before Core. Would wet food add to the problem or not so much? Sorry about my confusion...

We transitioned to Core in a period of 7days. Nov.2 was 100% Core.

Not until 100% So TOTW will not help at this point?

I would go back to 75% core and 25% sd for a while then try 100% core again... the mixing in Taste may be counter productive right now

Core is extremely rich. I tried transitioning our dog to it on recommendation of the adoption group and he definitely experienced digestive upset so we're now trying out one of the other Wellness formulas. I haven't tried Core with the cats, but they've done well on the regular Wellness food in the past. Good luck...I know how tough it can be trying to find the right cat/dog food! One cat is prone to UTIs and the dog has a sensitive stomach so I've been doing a lot of experimenting lately...

We're at 50/50 with Core and TOTW and it's really helping! Stool still too soft but definitely a better form (It was a blob before, not anymore)! I want to get to 75% TOTW until the mix is finished, then switch to TOTW. Thanks for your post!
