Oscar is now 9 weeks old and Peaches' only kitten. Every-time they curl up together it looks like he's nursing, but I don't think he's actually getting anything (or if any, very little) but is just pacifying.

Obviously Peaches wouldn't let him do it if she didn't want him too, but I'M starting to think it's time for him to stop.

Suggestions? Experience?

If it starts bothering her she'll get up and walk away. Nine weeks isn't all that long. Goldy's kittens weren't completely weaned until they were closer to 12 weeks, and after that they frequently went back for comfort. The kittens were 10 months old when Goldy was finally adopted. She would still let Cali nurse for a couple of minutes at a time, even though Cali was considerably bigger than her mother.

Thanks GC - that makes me feel allot better!

Last night he was laying ON TOP of mommy with his head down
maybe I'm just having too many breast-feeding flash backs
