Morning cat friends!

Welp, we were awoken again at about 12:30am by our neighbour downstairs blasting music. DH called him to get him to turn it down, and once again he yelled at DH
I am so sick of living in the same building as complete riff raff. I cannot wait to buy a house.

Anyhoo, it should be sunny later on today, but cool. Only 7 degrees. Not doing much today...work is about it.

You all have a good day!

Morning,

I'm just getting ready to head out the door. Tre is sitting here on my lap keeping me company and getting orange cat hairs all over my shirt.
I got up at 6 this morning for the first time in ages and it's pretty nice to get a jump on the day. We're supposed to have a high in the low 60's and sunny weather today. I'll probably only see it on the way to work though because it will be pitch black by the time I head home. I'm not looking forward to that at all.

I have to do slides, slides, and more slides today. Powerpoint slides. My dissertation proposal is Friday and I need to get them finished ASAP. After work, I'm going to try to get by the gym for a bit and then home to the kitties.

Morning All

Well I actually see a bit of blue sky peaking through this morning which is nice. Maybe we may see the sun before the day is out.

Off to the lab this morning to have blood work done, this should be the last time for a few months if it comes back good. Hope so I am starting to feel a bit like a pin cushion.

After that I have a few errands to run, plus I have been summoned by my old boss for a quick meeting. No doubt something has come up that my replacement hasn't had to deal with before. It has been over a year since I left my job but there are still times when my input is needed.
Little does he know he is going to have to treat me to lunch to get the info he needs

The kitties are good this morning. They are squirrel watching right now.

Everyone have a great day

Good morning all! Its been a pretty restless night for me. Lots of tossing and turning and waking up. But I got a text from the Beau at like 6am that made it all okay. I actually just got off of Skype with him. Its weird telling him good night when I'm watching morning tv shows and getting ready to start my day! But I am so thankful I actually got to hear his voice for a few today!
I'm hoping to be able to catch him later tonight as well. Hopefully he will have a little while to chat during the day.
I'm thinking about straightening up the house a bit and then taking a shower before work. But who knows.
Luckily its going to be another pretty day today! Sunny and in the 60s! And hopefully work will go by smoothly and we wont have anything major to worry about!

Hope everyone has a good day!

Morning!

So far it's been a pretty typical morning. Work until 5pm today, then off to the gym and home. I have a quilting class this weekend that I'm madly trying to finish my 'homework' for.
I'm one of those people who hates being even slightly unprepared for these classes so until everything's cut, sorted into labelled bags with completed templates and ready to go, I don't consider it done. Yeah...I'm a bit neurotic.

DH is working close to home again this week. Yay! So I don't have to worry about him making the 2.5 hour commute in rush hour. It also means I can count on him to have some stuff done around the house. Last week was hard - I didn't realise how badly I'd gotten out of the habit of running the house as a giant exercise in multitasking.

Anyway, it's a bit cool here, but an otherwise gorgeous day.
Hope everyone has a good one.

Morning all.

I'm going to be working on memorizing lines today, breaking it up with voting and errands. Then a friend is taking me out to dinner! YAY!

Inconsiderate neighbors suck.
I've had to deal with that on and off for years. Any way your landlord can help?

Nat I am sorry you have to deal with your neighbors. When we lived at the apartment they only partied on the weekends. Still was horrible but at least we weren't tired for work. I can't believe complaining isn't helping matters. Time to take it to a higher level I guess.

Well I am a dork. Acme is going to have an awesome sale starting friday. I am anxious to get my list and coupons ready
DS is sleeping but I expect him to wake any minute for food

Yesterday I did some cleaning, baked and laundry. I am taking it easy today. Usually when I have a day to do it all, the next day is chaos! I am prepared this time and not planning to do a darn thing.

Good Morning

This last week has not been a good one, some of you may know how my grandpa was taken to the hospital last week when he had a diabetic seizure/coma. Well he was admitted to the hospital this morning after being taken by ambulence last night when he slumped over in his chair and wasnt responding. We think it is his heart and not his diabetes because his blood sugar level was where it should be. Im stressed cause I have class, I have to check on my horses and go pick my cousin up in the next county before my lab class at 2, then I also have a night class and I just cant focus with all of this, I want to go see my grandpa!!!
. Its going to be sunny and slightly warm today in the 70s. :sighs: I just dont know what to do!!!

aww I'm sorry sweetie!
You may want to try emailing your professors and telling them what is going on. Most will allow you to miss and make up the work or come into a different lab class if possible.

Morning.. Sorry to hear about crappy noisy neighbors. And sick grandpas. I hope he pulls through ok!

I had to go to Staples to buy a new battery backup/surge protector thingy for my computer at work cos it apparently died last night. I am almost finished with a project that has to be done by Friday but I'm waiting on one tiny piece of info from the client. I hate waiting for stuff like that. They don't understand that when we ask them for something it's because we need it to HELP THEM. ugh. Oh well. Super foggy out this morning but it's almost all cleared up now and supposed to go up to 80 today. Nice!

I'm going to go to Kohl's after work to see if I can find jeans on sale. And then I have to go vote. We only have 1 measure to vote on this time, no people or anything. I'm going to vote no I think. But I will still vote.

Have a good day people.

Sorry about the neighbors. Can you call the cops on them?

As for me, I went to the doctor again for my bronchitis. I was hoping to be released to go back to work tomorrow, but I still can't! I have another appointment on Saturday and hopefully I will be able to go back by Monday. I had the Doctor fill out the paperwork for my LOA which I took down to the rental office to fax to MetLife. I am glad my apartment complex offers free faxing. Does anyone there know how to make a homemade humidifier or vaporizer? I don't have the $$ to buy one right now and the Doctor wants me to use one. No more prescriptions but I did get another shot in the butt. I hate shots!!!!

Just use a large saucepan, place it on the stove filled with water and bring it up to a light simmer. Use a old pan so you can add some Vicks vapour rub to the mix. You can leave it to simmer for awhile, or take it off and cover your head and it with a towel and inhale the steam. Be very careful though that the steam isn't so hot it burns your face. Do that for 1/2 hour or so then put the pan back on the stove and heat it up again.
