How long should I wait?

I put in the application to adopt a Siamese (probably a mix) from a shelter about an hour away from here. I called on Friday (I filled it out on Thursday online) to see how long the application process takes. Originally the website didn't say, but they have since changed that. It takes 3 business days. I'm probably going to be denied for one of two reasons. The limit of pets I can have according to our pet policy that I hadn't realized until after I filled out the application or b/c he is a foster and they may not adopt him out if his foster family wants to keep him.

Even if the answer is no I'd like to know so I can commence sulking about how crappy our pet policy is.

Should I give her until tomorrow if I filled out the application on Thursday before I call back. When I talked to her on Friday she said it wouldn't be until today. However, I don't want to appear that I'm rushing her and I don't want to make her mad.

Hope this make sense.

As a person who checks adoption applications - when it says 3 business days then I'd wait that long. We have people who fill out the application, when it says it takes "several days to process applications" that are calling/e-mailing later in the day wanting to know if they're approved. It drives me nuts, and slows down the application process.

Well I checked the Petfinder list and the little kitty was gone. I broke down and called. They said they took him off the list because he doesn't weigh 2 pounds yet. She also said she needed verification that my animals were vaccinated. I scanned it in and emailed it to her. I don't know if this means anything yet, but there may be a small ray of hope.
