OMG it used to be cute, now it's driving me nuts.

Lily has a real high pitched "girly" mew, and she's very insistent when she wants love. She won't sit on a lap, and won't let me pick her up, but she will sit near enough me to give her cuddles.

The problem is when she does at at 5am to come into the bedroom. Our bedroom door is closed to keep Smudge and Stumpy separate, but Lily likes to come in during the wee hours. She mews and mews and mews and scratches and bumps against the door until I cave and let her in. She comes in, eats some of Smudge's food, often uses her litter box, and may jump on the bed and mew at me until I pat her, where she stays for about 10 seconds, then mews and mews and mews until I let her out of the bedroom

This morning I thought I have to stop letting her in, because it's driving me crazy. If she actually stayed in and settled down, then I wouldn't mind, but she rarely stays in for more than a couple of minutes. So anyway, I let her mew and 10 minutes of mewing, scratching and bumping later, I let her in. 2 minutes later she wanted out again!

If you want you can borrow Dory so she can have company when doing this!

Since Camille & Itty are here & living in my bedroom - Dory wants in/Dory wants out - Dory wants in/Dory wants out. And he'll shred the carpet to get his point across trying to crawl under the door!

I've finally had to "tell him no" by growling/hissing at him through the door. He's getting the idea, slowly....very slowly.

*Gives you a pair of my earplugs* Seriously. They're wonderful little inventions.

I'm afraid I have no advice, but lots of sympathy. Lucy is howling right now and I have no idea what she wants. They really can be irritating. Good thing for them that they are so darn cute.
