This fountain was purchased because it was not plastic and saw it on a site on constipation for cats and was promoted as one that cats would use. However, it is expensive. It is very heavy,...

I had to use a dropper with this since it was kind of hard to put it in my cat's ears. I cleaned my cats ears first, then I put the R-7M cleaner in her ears. Next, I inserted 10 drops into each...

It is the most economical litter I have ever used. I only put a layer of litter in the pan that will cover half the pan. As the cats use it, it turns to sawdust. When its all dust you dump it....

This is probably the single most important toy I ever bought. I got it when my boy was a kitten and two years later, he still plays with it every day.

I am taking care of a cat with dermatitis issues. From what I understand it is a matter of trying to find the cause and eliminate it, not such an easy task.
Many vets recommend adding an Omega 3 fatty acid to their diet. The brand my vet recommends is Nordic Naturals for pets. Ask your vet about the correct dose because sometimes they start them on a higher dose then decrease. Good luck to you.

^ second the supplementing.
Some of my kitties have GI issues to various cat food ingredients, but skin issues happen in some cats, too. If you can't find any sort of environmental cause (things used around the home, fleas) then it could likely have a food cause. I suggest you look up sensitive system and limited ingredient foods now and be prepared for that in case you have to go that route.
The nutrition section here is always a good place to start.
Actually, it slipped my mind somehow this morning. But I have had one that had skin issues. She had nearly bald spots inside her thighs and lower belly due to a past flare up before I found her. She also had a thicken sore on her head above her right eye, bumps on her ears and nose (mosquito bites), and would tear out pieces of fur and skin on her chest leaving small sores. All of this was flea and mosquito related.
Her sores, especially those on her nose actually looked just like eosinophilic granuloma complex but the vet wanted to try treating with a double course of clavamox first. This did help all of her sores heal and since she is no longer exposed to her triggers she hasn't had any problems. The vet just called it a "dermatitis issue".
A little different than what you were asking about, but a good example of how much flea bites can mess up a cat.
