Being Sick Makes me Over-Emotional

So I was feeling a bit under the weather on Friday. On Saturday, however, I was forced to get up at 5:00 AM to go to marching band gameday rehearsal. I only got one chicken biscuit before the game and had to stay in the cold and rain. Naturally, lack of sleep plus cold plus foul weather make for a terrible environment for a slightly ill person. I came back from the game exhausted and now I'm fully sick.

Anyway, I just realized how over-emotional I get when I'm not feeling well. My poor boyfriend, I snapped at him so much over the course of the evening. I also was mad because I was unable to wear the costume I purchased and go to the party I had planned to attend. So needless to say I was upset some more. I watched a Doctor Who special [sort of a spin off series special] and BAWLED like a baby at the end. My poor kitty was confused when I picked him up and hugged him for comfort, making his back slightly wet with tears lol. [As an afterthought, I realized: Who the heck cries from watching Doctor Who?] I also was very upset because due to my stuffy nose I'm not really able to taste anything.

Now I feel better and have started on my NaNoWriMo project [National Novel Writer's Month].

Anyone else have these issues when you're sick? Do you become over-emotional and react at the strangest things?

I am the worlds worst person ever when I am sick. You come near me, I will take your head off for the slightest thing.
I tell people I prefer to be alone while sick, my personal space bubble expands to the scope of the universe as we know it, just leave me be.
You sound a bit PMS, I say this being a female because whenever I get sick, my period (shade your eyes men folk, just run away!) it is always in a part of my cycle that I am already a bit off. Misery loves company, well, not really.
I once cried watching Bugs Bunny. Yea, I have no idea why either.

Hahaha. Not to be too personal, but I was diagnosed with PMDD [super PMS! lol] at one point. Yaz fixes this entirely.

I guess it's getting close to that time of month where I feel a bit more emotional, but being sick amplifies it!

I am actually over emotional all the time, so I'm sure it does get worse anytime I am immuno compromised.

I got sick on friday and you could have made a horror movie out of me..
I was very pissed off because I had to cancel my halloween plans, I had to cancel a planned shopping trip today and the grocery store was out of my favourite ice cream...
And the antibiotics are making me feel horrible. Also this continuous pain is making me 'a bit' snappy. My poor ex-boyfriend-now-just-a-room-mate has of course been the target of my lovely mood swings.

When I am sick and achy and tired and want to sleep (and whatever I have is keeping me from sleeping) I have been known to cry.

And yell.

And cry some more.

If you have PMDD you may want to do some research on autonomic dysfunction/dysautonomia. Most women with PMDD will have issues with this.

I get impatient and a bit snappy but I never get "emotional" over anything, ever. Usually I just sleep when I'm ill or hurting.
