Gaia, our 5.5 month kitten got spayed on Friday. She was drowsy and was showing the effects of anesthesia until 8pm that night, then she was her normal rambunctious self. The vet said her pain killer would help calm her down, but now that she's acting normal I'm worried that she'll hurt herself internally with her behavior. The stitches are internal, and they used a laser to help heal the incision so I'm not worried about that. Can anyone help me figure how to keep her calm down a bit for a few more days, the vet said she can resume normal play in 10 days, but she started the night after surgery!

This fountain was purchased because it was not plastic and saw it on a site on constipation for cats and was promoted as one that cats would use. However, it is expensive. It is very heavy,...

I had to use a dropper with this since it was kind of hard to put it in my cat's ears. I cleaned my cats ears first, then I put the R-7M cleaner in her ears. Next, I inserted 10 drops into each...

It is the most economical litter I have ever used. I only put a layer of litter in the pan that will cover half the pan. As the cats use it, it turns to sawdust. When its all dust you dump it....

This is probably the single most important toy I ever bought. I got it when my boy was a kitten and two years later, he still plays with it every day.
Too rowdy after spay!?!

Gosh sounds like my cat when I had her spayed, she sneaked out of a window the day after the op and was climbing up the fence !! She would not stay in and hid so when someone opened the door she darted out, tried everything to keep her in, I rang the vet and he said that cats usually know their limits and she wouldn't do anything that would hurt her, I wouldn't worry too much but if you are concerned give your vet a ring.

I had the same problem with Hercules after he got neutered. He had an undecended testicle so he had 2 incisions one in his sack and one in his belly. He wouldnt take to being confined in the bedroom nothing he just went back to doing his normal cat stuff jumping around and eating and going to the bathroom. I just kept checking his belly everyday to make sure he was healing ok and made sure he wasnt grooming the heck out of his incision. I would keep an eye on her and let her go but just keep an eye on her incision everyday till it heals.

My Meeko jumped off the table in the vets office before we even left.
I locked her in a carrier at firs so she would not get hurt and it worked out well.
