I know its seems really dumb to buy your pet more new clothes than yourself but I cant resist when I go to Wal-Mart and they have puffy jackets with faux fur hoods for dogs!!! Plus its for the welfare of my dog who being a miniature doxie needs all the extra warmth for the winter!!
Yea yea thats what I tell myself..Haha Here are some pics of Franklin my puppy (soon to celebrate his 1st birthday in December!!!)

His new skull and cross bones puffy jacket!!! The black and grey matches him so well!!

Giving mommy kisses on the couch while Im trying to relax!!!

Isnt my baby handsome!

There's no place like home
What a cutie pie!!
And obviously not spoiled in the least!

(I'll preface this by saying I have always had large dogs.) He's such a little guy - how do you know when he is actually full grown?!?!?

He is actually already full grown. I grew up with HUGE dogs and have never had a small one so when I researched mini doxies I found out that most are actually full grown by 3-6 mths and will never grow after 6 mths. Franklin was actually full grown at about 4 mths and hasnt grown since and he is on the big side of a mini doxie. If I remember correctly going by average weights and heights most large dogs (ex: rotties goldens dobermans huskies etc) will not stop growing till about 2 yrs of age. Medium breeds its about 1 yrs with maybe a final growth spurt at about a year and a half but small breeds they are done growing at a year old and miniatures anything are done at 6 mths with a rare growth spurt between 6 mths and a year. Franklin has been the same size since fprever..lol and the only thing he has done is fill out more in his neck area (got thicker) and his chest has gotten broader. He actually reminds me of a linebacker when he stands. On average a mini doxie isnt supposed to weigh more than 11 lbs but Franklin weights about 13-15 depending on how much he poos and eats for the day. He is quite large for a mini and has the personality of a rottie. I am actually thinking about putting up Beware of Dog signs on our property because he is so vicious about strangers approaching that most delivery men wont actually knock on our door to give us stuff they will just drop it off inside the sliding doors. If you didnt see him you would think its a rottie barking and growling at the door and he knows which cars belong to which people too so he knows when family shows up and you can tell by his reaction who is here. When his pap pap shows up he runs to the back door and starts whining and crying to get let out. If the UPS truck comes in..that delivery guy better run cuz for some reason he HATES the UPS truck!!! LOL

Haha I just thought of this while thinking about my vicious attack dog...When BF and I play fight and wrestle I am the one who actually gets bitten by Franklin as if to say "get off my daddy"....Yet most people think that because Im the pet person he is MY dog..Ohh no he is not he is daddys puppy and daddys baby...Him Fatman and GiGi are all daddys babies..Hercules is the only one that is mine mine mine...But Im the one who spoils and takes care of all the babies.
