Ok, I stole/adapted this idea from a recent Lowe's catalog!
--Easy yard ghosts!
Get a tomato cage (the usual, pryramidal ones, not the square ones). Obtain something fabric-y and white (sheet; I bought a white plastic tablecloth form the Dollar Store) that will drape over the cage (the round base of the cage sits on the floor, ground, etc., like an upside-down ice cream cone). First, though, weave some clear Christmas lights through the cage; Lowe's did this, but I used any battery-powered lights you can find/have on hand. Do not use real candles! Just find something that gives off a lot of light; place it on the ground inside of the cage. Drape the sheet over the cage. Draw/paint, etc. on black "eyes" on the ghosts. At night, turn on the lights, and the ghost will glow from inside.
I used a battery-powered emergency lantern, and some of those "moon lights", the round push-on, push-off ones you stick on the wall. The Dollar Store had them. You could also use battery-powered pillar candles (white or ivory). You probably could also use an upended flashlight.
