Well, it is finally Friday!!

It's really nice that Halloween is on the weekend this year. We are going to Ottawa's Haunted walk tomorrow night, and then coming home to watch scary movies

Tonight we bought tickets for a Halloween party, but might not go. We wanted to support the cause but we don't actually have costumes for the party. We shall see!

Then on Sunday, we are going to see Jay-Z in concert!!!
I'm so excited!!

You all have a lovely weekend as well please!

Morning All!!!

It's raining, it's pouring
.....In other words another what's becoming a typical day in cottage country.

Not much planned for today, have to take a quick trip to the grocery store to pick up a few things I missed when shopping yesterday.
Also need to pick up some of Linus's favorite kitty treats at the pet store, we ran out a couple of days ago and Linus is not happy about it at all.

Tonight I have great plans, they are have the 3 Ginger Snaps movie on TV so I am going to watch those. I know really bad B Horror Flicks but I love them. One of the reasons I like Halloween is all the campy, cliche horror films that surface this time of year.

The kitties are watching the rain right now and don't seem at all impressed.

Everyone have a great day

A blah rainy day here. I have errands to run today, including buying a SS gift. I must try not to spend too much on myself while I'm there...
Have a good day everyone!

YAY for the weekend. I usually love Halloween but I just can't get in the mood this year.

MIL is coming over to see my son tonight.

Tomorrow DH is BBQ/smoking some sort of meat. I never remember what he finally decides on. It usually changes 5x's before he starts to cook.

Nothing really planned for the weekend.

Have a great one. HAPPY HALLOWEEN.

I got up and baked a big batch of ginger snaps this morning! Was finished by 9:00!

We're having a big gig at my church tonight, installing an additional pastor. She'll be big part of our jazz community, so a friend of hers composed a jazz mass, there's a great group playing, our choir is singing. Fun times!

She requested home-baked goods for the reception, so we've got all sorts of different cookies and bars coming.

Have a good weekend, all!

Good morning!

It is rather cold this morning. I found out that my grandpa went to the hospital last night
he had really low blood sugar (hes diabetic) or something along those lines. I am not too sure on the details. But he is home right now, thank goodness my aunt and cousin were there to help my grandma.

I have classes all day pretty much then I work the night shift (aka midnight!) I am tired and do not want to go to class!!

Have a good day everyone!

I was rudely awakened this morning after 4hrs of sleep
took some pain meds, and sure enough, it started raining a couple hours later
(which would be why I woke up in a lot of pain)

I am so tired of this "bug" and wish it would go away or at least be consistant.

My kiddies are excited for tomorrow.... its my one daughters last yr trick or treating and shes going with 2 friends, then a sleep over at one friends... my other daughter still has a few more years of going.

Today is a write off for me.... will try to nap as my head is sooooo foggy from lack of sleep and the high pain level day.

Have a good day folks.

Morning!

I had to get up early today to make some phone calls and pay some bills. And I have to put away my laundry, have a shower and get dressed for work before my cleaning girl arrives because it's uncomfortable getting showered and dressed when someone is inside my apartment.

I'm working evenings today, but I'm at the desk in charge, so it shouldn't be a bad shift.

Nine more shifts to go before I start my new job!!!

I was off today, but did dress up and go into work for their Halloween breakfast, which was great. I won "Best Halloween Costume"! I wore my 18th Century dress that I made for reenacting. Driving in it was tricky, though! My period shoes have pointy toes, and my foot kept slipping off the brake, and under the acelorator pedal. (I couldn't wear other shoes, then change, as one has to put one's shoes on before the stays/corset--you can't easily bend over, and I had nobody to help me dress.)

I treated myself to a spree at Goodwill (Wow, girl. Live it up.) I found a pretty, new cake pedestal--a sort of tan, with speckles--which I'll use for my pumpkin cheesecake for the party tomorrow. It was only $2.97! The funny thing is, last Saturday, when I got the call from DH about Smudge's terminal cancer, I was just waiting in line to pay for it. I apologized to the clerk, and told her I had to leave fast. No one bought it since then.

I spent all afternoon and early evening cooking for the party tomorrow; I'm taking a break from housecleaning now. My Swiffer mop just broke; it's not fixable. I'm waiting for DH to come home with another one, so I can finish cleaning.

My feet hurt!
