Interestingly, he could have gotten her pregnant AFTER he was neutered....sometimes the sperm stays in the tubes for a month or so after neutering. Funny, anyway
.

Be sure to have the mama bunny spayed when the babies are big enough! Unspayed females have about an 85% chance of getting a reproductive cancer before age 5.

What pretty little buns! What breeds are the parents?

They're adorable!!! Are they holland lops by chance?? I used to have a gorgeous little blue holland lop named Sophie
(She passed away in June). The kits are adorable!

I second the spaying of momma rabbit. Reproductive cancers are incredably high in rabbits. Make sure the vet you use specializes in exotics though (they will know the proper anestesia to use on a rabbit.
) (I spent a while as a vetrinarian technician. If you need help on any of the medical care or have any questions, I'm only a pm away!) Good luck with your lovely new bunnies!

Are you planning to keep them or do u have homes for them? I wish you were closer, I'd have to sneak out a silver/blue one

I will be getting mum spayed, I think she has been through enough poor girl but she is a fab mum. I have a home for one of them, got to be a boy and the rest I want to go to people that I know so I know they will be well looked after, I don't want anymore I have 5 bunnies already, they are so cute though it will be hard giving them up, will have to make most of the 8 weeks I have with them.xx

I was gonna ask if they were Rex rabbits. I notice there is a clear difference in coat texture/type in Rex rabbits that is not in normal rabbits. I usually can tell right away even in pictures

I have been told that they could turn out to be lion heads even though their coats are so smooth at themoment,
that was by the vet, will just wait and see, they grow so quick will keep posting updated pics on here.x

I bet they're going to be adorable when those coats really start to develop! That's wonderful you're planning to have momma fixed! / If you adopt out the kits maybe you can work out a deal with your vet and see if he/she will give you a discount on having them fixed before they go to their new homes (or see if they'll give new owners a discount!)

I wish I was closer, I'd have to kidnap one! They're darling

A quick update, bunnies are 5 days old today, I sneaked them out the nest box and had a quick peek at them, I took some pics, they aren't that fantastic as they never stop moving
but they have doubled in size and changed colour and I think they are definetely going to look like lion heads, you can see in one ofthe pics that the kit definetely has the start of a mohican
they are too gorgeous, I have found homes for all of them
I want to keep them but I just can't it wouldn't be fair to my other bunnies, its going to be a nightmare in a few weeks when they are all running around I will have 12 rabbits
, all good fun though.x
