Coolcat---Day of the Dead right? When I took spanish in high school we learned about it and even got to eat some mexican pastries...they were yummy!! But our teacher had made a type of altar thing with painted skulls, food, and other things I cant remember, it was really cool.

I will be working on Halloween night
, very sad about it because its tradition that me and some friends get together to watch Ghost Hunters live all night. I dont get off until 12:30am soooo technically Halloween will be over
. We have decorations inside and outside, we have cobwebs everywhere outside, a couple tombstones, a hanging spider and a few other decorations, along with spooky halloween music playing in the background

I wanted to dress up and go out, BUT... I got really sick Tuesday and have been in bed since.
I highly doubt I'll be up to going out Saturday since it's already Friday and I still feel crummy. So... me and the boyfriend are going to get some pumpkins and carve them. Hopefully I will be able to mange that...

I'll be dressing up and passing out candy with Cody and watching horror movies with my two friends that are comming over. I may possibly take my sister trick or treating, depending on whether or not her friend comes over too.

Making up a nice dinner and the in-laws are coming over - since it's Saturday. My MIL intends to stay and hand out some candy since she can't at her home.

We're hosting a Halloween party for a tiny group of close friends (in addition to handing out candy to 200+ kids--yep--our record was 225!).

At 10 PM, we're going to a public Halloween party at an inn nearby. We do this every year (it's usually the closest Saturday to Halloween).

I don't have as many decs as usual, as I was very sick for over a week this month. I'm on vacation today, and taking a break from baking for my party tomorrow.

I have done a pumpkin with the children thats about it, I am in England and its not really safe here for children to go trick or treating anymore and I don't open the door to them very often as they are usually 16 year old yobs and sweets aren't good enough for them nowadays, they want cash !! Its such a shame as I love halloween, here's my pumpkin anyway

Nothing here. Got home from work at 1am Halloween morning, went to bed, up at 5am for a cat show. It's 9.40pm Halloween night and there's nobody around.

The front porch and yard are decorated; I really should try to get a decent pic or 2 to post. There are decorations in the back yard, as well. Finished carving my 3rd pumpkin yesterday, got my candy all bagged up and ready to go, went for a walk in my favorite cemetery yesterday.
Tonight, I'll follow tradition and leave a light burning in the window all night---the belief is the spirits of the dead are returning home and need a light to show them the way. I'll also bury an apple, to feed them on their journey.
Hopefully we'll get quite a few trick or treaters, but I doubt it. Afterwards I'll go outside, sit in my back yard, and think of ways to scare myself.
I
Halloween!
