Will this kitten grow up to be a longhair?

This is Wendelina Pantherina, or Wendy. She has a uniformly short coat with no ruff but, as you can see, she has a very long, fluffy tail and long fluff in her ears. Any bets as to what her adult coat will be like? Thanks!

Oh, and do you know WHAT she is? Is she a calico or a tortie and white?

How old is she? She is gorgeous! She looks atleast 4-5 months old and her coat and color may change a little more, but she will be a medium/longhair domestic, beautiful, calico!
Heres a picture of our beloved Sweety, she was one of the fuzziest domestic longhairs Iv'e ever seen! She had total fuzzy butt!

I think your girl may not be as fuzzy, but definitely will have a longer coat then most, and a fluffy tail......

Thanks for your insights! Wendy was adopted from a feral rescue two days before that photo was taken, when she was just about 11 weeks old.

If her tail is any indication, she will be a large cat. When she is standing, her tail sometimes whacks her on the head. We suspect that she swiped it from another, bigger cat. (That would also explain why she's in hiding so much of the time.)

We have another kitten who is the same age and his tail is a good 3" shorter. His coat is uniformly fluffy and he already has the beginnings of a ruff. But his tail doesn't compare to hers. His feral rescue people think he'll grow up to look like a Maine Coon. Any thoughts on that?

Here's Possum, with his tipped feral ear:

Ooooh! Sweety is glamorous! What a sultry expression! I love tortoiseshells, and we are lucky to have one, aged 15. I'll bet Sweety was the queen of your household. Thanks for the photo!

Both Wendy and Possum are sooo adorable

I think Wendy will be a longhair too, maybe medium but definitely with a fluffy tail

Thanks, Sweety was queen, she was claiming my bed in that picture!
Possum looks like he has some paws to grow into! I think you have a couple of cuties who are definitely going to get bigger, and keep their long coats! I bet their color is going to change a bit, which will be interesting to watch. Keep us updated

She looks like a longhair now. Or "medium" if you wanted to say.

Really? How interesting! What might happen to their colors? Possum has black stripes on background color I can't describe — it's not gray or brown but something in the middle. In photos he looks gray, but he isn't!

Will Wendy's orange color get stronger or lighter, do you think?

It's been a LONG time since we had any kittens and I need a refresher course in everything!

They are both beautiful. He will certainly be a long hair boy. My guess is she will get some more long hair, but may be more of a medium hair. My Isaac has a long tail, he can reach the top of his head with it & he is now 5 years old. She may just have a long tail. The unfortunate thing is sometimes that long tail works against them. Isaac for example knocks things over all the time with his. I always have to say "Isaac watch the tail, your making a mess again."
