Kitten Using His Nails?

We have a 3 month old kitten and he has a bad habit of scratching us and using his nails for everything. Everytime we give his mom treats he grabs our hands with his paws (nails out) and its not the nicest feeling

Is there anyway of teaching him NOT to use his nails for things like getting treats?

The way we've done it is if they start to grab at it with paws/claws, we pull the treat back and wont actually give it till they're sitting with all paws on the ground. Good luck

Try keeping the nails trimmed weekly. My kittens are getting nails nipped at 5 or 6 weeks old. Never had a problem with 3 months old kittens using their nails
