My foster kitty Tiger has some liver problems. I am trying to get her to eat high calorie, high protine food. This morning she was ok with the AD food from the vet, but usually she is not. Yesterday she was really enjoying a can of the grain free, lamb food. I can't remember the name of the brand right now, but I was wondering what kind of calorie content those foods generally have. I'm willing to feed her what ever she will eat (much to the dismay of the rest of the kitty family).

This is not something we could or even should be addressing. If your cat has a health issue, then you need to work out food with your vet not with a bunch on cat owners on a cat site, none of whom have medical training to deal with a liver issue.

I have experience with liver disease, but you need to talk to your vet about all this, especially when it comes to diet changes. Honestly, high protein is not the way to go with liver disease and can be harmful, but again, please speak to your vet.

Oh she has been to the vet & she has another appointment on Saturday for a recheck. He originally had perscribed AD wet food, but 2 weeks ago he basicly said feed her whatever she will eat because I was force feeding her. She slowly started to eat again on her own & finally showed intrest in a healthy wet food, so I was just curious. The good news is she is eating very well again. She ate a whole can of the AD wet food. So I will be getting more AD food from the shelter tonight.
