It was supposed to start snowing after midnight. Well, here it is just 10:00 and we've already got about 1/2" of snow on the ground. It is coming down hard - the big, fluffy, wet flakes. It's already sticking to the roads too.

So we're "supposed to" get around 6 inches by around noon tomorrow. And we're "supposed to" get between 10-18 inches of snow by mid-day Thursday. I know my co-worker and I are really hoping for at least one, maybe 2 snow days out of this. At the rate this is going, well, we'll see how this all turns out.
(We both have the ability to work from home, so we won't completely be out all the hours, but we're hoping we won't have to go IN!)

All I can say is - Bring it on, baby! Bring it on!

I can't wait for it to snow here! I love the snow. My work doesnt usually close for snow but that work days ARE optional. Unfortunately...i DO lose the hours. Last year we only had two storms that got any snow...i like LOTS of snow!

Well, no such luck as a snow day for me...yet. There was only about 2-3" on the ground this morning, certainly not enough to not come to work. But it is snowing like crazy and I don't think I'll be here after noonish. They are still predicting a LOT of snow today so maybe I'll get a full-on snow day tomorrow.

My coworker, however, DID get her snowday, because she has a kid.
The school district (actually quite a few of them) called school early this morning, so she's staying home with her daughter (who has been hoping for a snow day since spring!
) and working from home.

These aren't real good pics (from my phone) but it's the view of the parking lot and trees. I'll take good pics when I get home.

Heh, Earl just sent me this pic he just took at home. I'm still at work, but won't be for too much longer. Our car isn't good in the snow, and they're saying that Lakewood has 7" on the ground now. It's falling at a good 1" per hour.

(sorry about the size; it's in his Photobucket album and he doesn't resize them for TCS
)

Wow, that looks GORGEOUS!!!! It's a pleasant sunny 62 here today, and it will be low 70s over the weekend. Are you sure you don't want to come visit Heidi?

Here's what's happening north of you, Heidi. I had a meeting today so I braved it in, but when the dude didn't show, I hightailed it home.

I will try and get some photos tomorrow - we have about 14" it's looking like. Beautiful out there, but cooold. Both kids home from school today. I had to go to a training so that really stunk. Roads were really bad at 8 this morning.

Thanks for posting pics Jana!
I hope you can post some tomorrow, Kim! Obviously I'm just getting a rather limited view of my own piece of town. Anyone else in Colorado - please post pics too.

I did come home at noon today, and I ain't going in tomorrow! No way, no how!

I took a couple pics of one of the townhomes that did a bunch of Halloween decorating with the spiderwebs. It was really cute last weekend when they could still walk underneath it. Now...well, I'm glad I didn't do that in front of my door.

For comparison, here's the same view at ~10:30 and ~5:30 today.

We've got somewhere around 16" right now, with some drifting. Right by the back door there's a good 3'.
