Old pictures of the girls

I was just going through some old pictures (yes I should be studying...) and just had to share some of them

Look how small Smudgey was compared to Stumpy!



Poor little Smudge looked so pathetic!



3-4 months old and looking more Smudgey like



Baby Lily - such a pretty girl



She blended in with the carpet well! And the pink ball is still her favourite toy (we've had to replace it a few times though)



Awwwwwww



Stumpy at about 8 months old when we first got her, post-tail amputation



She couldn't quite sit right due to her fractured/broken pelvis



Back when the doona cover didn't have threads all pulled out from kitty claws!



Her fur was very thin and dull. Everyone always remarks how soft she is now

Lily tried to suckle off Stumpy for a while



They were best of friends











Until Smudge came along and Lily decided she preferred a little sister. Poor Stumpy has been left out ever since







They used to all hang out together, but Smudge recently decided she is scared to death of Stumpy



And they're my girls!

I agree! You're girls are really pretty! I still remember when you brought Smudge home. Such a frail and uncoordinated little girl she was! She's blossomed under your care.

Such pretty kitties! Poor Smudge looks like she had a pretty rough start. Certainly grew into a beautiful kitty.

Thanks, she had a very rough start. She was probably about 5 weeks old when we first fostered her, but she was the size of a 3 week old kitten. In her first week she lost weight, and we didn't think she'd survive. She had eye problems, she smelled, and had diarrhea, and wouldn't gain weight, but she also had spunk, and she was a good eater, and those 2 things saved her.
