Merlin is an extremely active kitten---hey, he's an aby. Usually he likes to be carried around the house on my shoulder, but for some reason this evening he wanted down. He squirmed away from me and landed on his side on the tile floor. It didn't slow him down much except he was running around on three legs instead of four, not putting any weight on his right rear leg. That was about three hours ago. He ate his supper--and all the girls' leftovers--the same as always. He started putting some weight on the leg, but limping. At the moment he's sleeping in one of his typical pretzel positions.

If he's still limping in the morning I'll take him to the vet for X-rays. In the meantime he could use some strong TCS vibes that he isn't seriously injured.

Poor guy! Heres for the little one. I have seen cats take falls and limp a bit and be ok. Hope this is the case. Glad you are taking him in though. Let us know

All paws crossed that Merlin's injury was slight and that he has recovered by now.

Thanks for all the vibes. Merlin seems to be fine today. I haven't seen any limping. Of course, it's a little hard to tell since every time I want to watch him walk across the room he turns around and tries to climb up my legs. So far this morning I've caught him on the kitchen counter, on top of the refrigerator, and on the top platform of the cat tree playing with the wind chimes. So I'd say everything is back to normal.
I'll keep an eye on him, but I figure he just got a pretty good thump that shook him up for a while.
