My grandmother had a massive stroke last night. Right now all the news I have is that the prognosis is not good. She's being kept overnight at the hospital then my parents are going to bring her home and get a hospice service in to help so that if she has to leave us she at least gets to do it with some dignity.

So please send some vibes her way that if she must go that it is not long a drawn out. She's 86 and hasn't been well for some time.

Thanks.

My grandmother is in the same boat right now. She has been in the nursing home for 3 years. They called hospice in last week. She is down to 70 pounds. I'm hoping it won't be long now. No one should have to suffer like that.

My prayers are with you.

Wow, I'm so sorry. What a wonderful thing to do for her, though. Hospice is great.

I wish her a peaceful and quick passage.

Big hugs to all she leaves behind, if it is her time.

My biggest wish is that when my time comes I"m surrounded by the people I love and that I go peacefully. If it's your Grandmother's time, I wish her a gentle, easy passing with her family by her side.
Much love to you and your family.

Oh hon, many and prayers going out to your grandmother and your family. That is wonderful that she is coming back to her family. There is nothing wrong with praying for quick and peaceful passing. Especially at 86 with previous health problems....she lived a long and happy life and probably is ready to cross the bridge. I know it doesn't make it any easier on the family though. I feel sorry for the people who's families' keep them alive as long as they can, just because "they can" with technology or drugs.

My grandma took a down turn last night. At this point I don't even know if she survived the night, I haven't heard from my parents yet. This so sucks, I live 4 hours away and I feel so out of the loop. She's not stable enough to move home and mom and dad haven't got the room set up. We are hoping she at least makes it to be able to come home, but it's not looking promising. Thanks for all the vibes.

Well, Grandma passed last night. I found out this evening. My mom was just so upset and had the rest of the family around her that they didn't have a chance to call me. Mom is doing better and working on the memorial. Thank you all for your vibes. Grandma went quietly and with dignity just as she wanted.
