So my boyfriend came home from work and found 4-5 areas where Neko threw up! That's alot! I was at work when he called me so she was alone when this happened. What could it be?
We're SLOWLY transitioning to Wellness Core.
We've been "trying" to eat wet foods.
The vomit was a mixture of her food (yellow/tan in color, digested and some still in whole kibble form) and Greenies (they were green, duh).
She does enjoy going into the tub when we leave the restroom door open. Can she get sick with the watter puddles in the tub?
She's better now- playing with toys/running around.
Thank you for any feedback.

I'd look for something she ate that she shouldn't first.

Plant? Greenies? I'm not a big fan of greenies.

Perhaps she has a hairball causing trouble. When was her last bowel movement?

How is she acting otherwise? Normal activity, or lethargic?

I recommend you do not give her anymore food tonight. If no more vomiting, feed her normally in the morning.

If she brings that back up, or vomits more tonight, even on an empty stomach, or is lethargic or straining in the litter box, get her to the vet first thing!

Let us know what happens.

PS I lived in Lewisville Tx when I was a little girl. Over 40 years ago! It was a very small town then, and the Dallas Cowboys had a training camp practically in our back yard. We lived on a dead end street called Surf Street and used to slide in cardboard boxes down the hill on the Grapevine Dam.

You said you could recognize some of the kibbles - could be she ate too fast. My vet explained that regurgitation is when you can sort of recognize what's coming up, and is usually the result of kitty eating too quick or too much. Cats have a shorter digestive tract than humans, so it's easier for them to toss their cookies if their tummies are a bit upset. Occasional regurgitation isn't all that bad - often they'll be happy and hungry soon after. You just have to keep track of what's happening and if they start acting totally off their food, or tired, or otherwise abnormal, write it all down so you have a timeline and call the vet.

True vomit is more worrisome. But I agree with Otto's suggestions if she doesn't seem happy in the morning.

Also, Wellness tends to be a bit rich for some kitties. And, Greenies can trigger soft poo or other digestive problems if kitty eats too many of them (happened to me). I ended up making sure they were tightly sealed and stored where mine couldn't get at them. Otherwise my boy would like to eat a bag at a time!

She had her last bowl movement earlier today. We don't have plants so that takes care of that. I do keep a log, mom's orders
, and she hasn't thrown up since Oct.5! I did give her like 3 greenies this morning before I left for work. Hopefully that was it. If it continues, maybe its Wellness. We are only on day 2 of transitioning from SD Natures Best to Wellness Core. I'll let you know what happens.
She's back to herself now, playing and roaming around. She even ate some more a little while ago.

ps. Lewisville is a crazy busy city now! It drives me crazy! Cant wait to graduate so we can move

Careful with Greenies - do not give nearly as much as they tell you to give on the package - that will likely cause stomach upsets... For a kitten a couple of pieces a day is where I would stop - IF at all...

If she ok? I mean - acting ok, or lethargic?
As others have said, there is a difference in between regurgitating from eating too fast (not worrisome), and vomiting... Vomiting could be something more serious...
Since there are pieces of food in it, I am inclined to think of regurgitating...
Keep an eye on her, and if she gets really lethargic, that is when you worry.

We've had trouble with the Greenies causing vomiting, too.

Thanks again everyone! I'm also thinking it was the greenies. She's active and playful now. No worries
