I bought the Hallowe'en treats a couple of weeks ago. We'll probably end up eating most of it, but not until after Hallowe'en. I have an excellent "out of sight, out of mind" spot for it and there it will sit until next weekend. OK, don't hit me!

I don't get trick or treaters, so I normally don't buy those big bags of candy.

That of course doesn't mean I've never bought them, just not normally.

We live a few miles in the country outside of a small town. Anywho - that said, I buy lots of halloween candy for myself!

I don't buy candy for trick or treaters because I'm never home and this year will be no exception. I have so far resisted all candy this halloween.

Yeah, those "fun size" things are killers. They're so easy to keep putting one after another in your mouth. For that reason, I don't buy my Halloween candy until the day of Halloween. I find sales then too!

I also have learned the trick of buying some stuff I don't like......way less tempting that way.

Y'know what? I've been eating much less chocolate lately, because a wonderful local chocolatier has ruined me for all other candy! He makes it all right there, behind a glass wall, and it's SO GOOD... even Dove pales by comparison.

And luckily, Mr. Dorian's chocolate is just expensive enough, and his store is just far enough away, that I can't get it very often! So I'm eating less, but enjoying it more.

Here's his website: http://www.jdorian.com/

Not living here before I bought 2 bags of just in case candy. Snickers and kit-kats (which just happen to be my favorites)
Have not busted into them yet, but I hear them calling my name like a siren song.
I am keeping them in the freezer, so even if I sucumb to the song I will not be able to bite into one until they thaw and I gain my wits back and put them away (in theory)
So far it is working, but I have done a blitz on the candy in years before left being surrounded by teeny candy wrappers in a sad sugar fueled chocolate binge.

I don't hand out candy at Halloween because I take my kids trick or treating but that doesn't stop me from buying Halloween Candy

Especially being 6 1/2 months pregnant now.
If it's chocolate, it doesn't last very long in my house

I love being pregnant during the Holidays

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE those little square Snickers. YUMMY Im working Halloween night so I have no need to buy candy plus I live in the boonies so no Trick or Treaters here! However the sales after Halloween are irresistable and I will be buying TONS of candy for myself and BF because we adore Hersheys chocolate and of course he needs a stash for the garage and I need my own for the house! Yummy in my tummy

The most telling word in this statement is the word "yet".
