Any of you WI folks going to see the show? I am so jealous if your are! I live walking distance from where they will play (well a long walk, 2 miles) and I am so bummed ticket prices are so high! $70 for the nose bleed seats. I know they are a tradition, but really, make it cheaper so us poor folks can enjoy too!
The best Christmas display ever on Earth, ever.

I'm going this year!!!!!
I'm sooo excited! My sweet boyfriend Jack is taking me when they come to Memphis on Dec. 23rd!
(That was my birthday presesnt from him way back in July, but they hadn't put the tickets up for sale then so he printed me off a cute letter telling me that we were going!) / I had no idea the tickets were that $$ though, that's a bit high!

This will be a first for me, but I've heard that their shows are amazing!

Anyone else been before?

I am in Madison WI and they are playing on Nov 9th at the Kohl Center. Nose bleed I have now found around for $60, good seats, up in the $140 range no kidding.

Shame they're so expensive.
I'm sure it would be an awesome concert to go to though, something worth shelling out for for a show to remember.

Over the river and through the woods...
Holy crap, that was AWESOME!! I would LOVE to see them! But, I can imagine what DH would want to do for the outside decorations then (we already have the thingy that makes the lights go to the music
)

I want to go this year! They are here November 16th. I work days so I can go. Hopefully they will have some good seats left when I go and buy some next week.

I'm going to see them in Dec when they come here! I am so excited!! this will be my third TSO concert (its becoming a tradition) and i know my sister got amazing seats! She got floor seats last year we were so close it was "snowing" on us!!!

On another Note I got the new J.W Pepper catalog (its a school music provider where I get my orchestra music from) for the holidays this week and in it they have TSOs Wizards in Winter transcribed for orchestra!! Its too late to try if for this year but maybe next year!!!

I'd love to go, but as we get closer to Christmas, my schedule gets more and more hectic and unpredictable. In addition, they're not in Dallas until after Christmas.

But, here's a good example of their work. Note the kittens!

Pink Floyd meets Metallica and they accidentally interupt a Bob Hope Christmas show?

Found this, yea it's Wizards in Winter again but just the band, I have changed my mind to ZZ-Top had many guitar playing children with every hair band ever, and I got to love that Alice Cooper guy playing the flying V violin. There is a run on sentence you dont type often!
Edit: DOH! I guess a link would be helpful!

TSO isn't really an orchestra. Hmm the best way I can put it is this...are you familiar with Metallica's S&M album? That is the one where they played with the San Fransico orchestra behind them. (acutally i think it was only members that made up a small chamber group) That is sorta what TSO is. A Rock group with string accompanyment.

ALSO.....Their new ALBUM is out!!!!
