I'm finally back!

So the past year has been a very difficult one. My now ex husband and I decided to seperate last august (2008). I moved out shortly there after. Living on my own I couldnt afford internet access. I was barely getting by. Then in feb. of this year I left my home and my fur children and headed off to boot camp. I'm now in the army. That was the HARDEST thing I ever had to do. My fur babies are currently living with friends and family. I still pay for everything they need, but sadly they cant be with me. Its really hard. I miss them everyday. I know they are being well cared for (all my friends are vet techs) but i still wish they could be with me. I did it for them. I could barely afford to care for them before, now even though I cant be with them, they have everything they need and want.
Living in the barracks, we cant have pets. So, i figured if i cant have my babies with me, I can at least get back on here and read everyone elses stories about there babies. I've been thinking about finding a local shelter too so that i can volunteer. So if anyone knows of any shelters in the clarksville tennesse area...

Oh hon, you have such a rough time with everything! I'm just glad you came back. I know it's hard rehoming you kitties but they are being taken care of so get that off your mind. I know you miss them like crazy, but you needed to do what you needed to do for them and for you.

One thing I do want to say is THANK YOU! For serving our country. DH was in the Navy and he told me stories of bootcamp for the Navy and I know I could never go through it. I would be sitting in the corner, rocking back and forth, asking for my mama. The fact that FIRST, you had the courage to join the army, and SECOND that you went through bootcamp (and as you said it was the hardest thing you ever did)...You are an inspiration.
