I'm thinking of crossing over to the dark side tonight...are the cookies really better over there?

You aren't alone
patience is not my strong suit, and I could really use a pick me up about now.

Great pics everyone.

Here is what it said!

Hi Kim,

Santa is starting to saddal up his llama and wants to know if you have been naughty or nice this year before he loads up your presents?

Awesome! So is there a clump of fur missing from the llama? If not, does that mean that Santa has many llamas?

Well, I came home today and found a package in front of my door! Looks like it's a gift from Santa Claus. It even says so on the mailing label. Here are the inspectors checking out the box.

The label says it's from Cedar Hill, TX. I have a suspicion of who my SS might be based on that clue, but more on that later. There's a box to open!

If only I could figure out where to open it?
It could be a booby trap though. Maybe I should open the other side?

Hmm, Santa seems pretty adamant I should open the other side. It could just be part of the trap though. What to do, what to do. I guess I'll trust that Santa wouldn't trick me and open where it says to.

And before the box was even opened properly, we had our first toy! I guess I know why Santa wanted me to open that end. Tiny had a ball with the little cardboard strip that I ripped off to open the box.

Yep, I'm looking at you Tiny!

Here's the loot! No lumps of coal*, so I must have been a good boy this year. There are 3 cat toys visible and a Texans cap. The rest of the stuff is wrapped (for now).

NOM, NOM, NOM! More presents for me!

Thufir decided not to even wait for me to take the toys out of the packaging before playing with them.

Promise came out to inspect the presents as well. Unfortunately, when I threw one of the Flutter Balls, she got spooked and hid under the bed. She's unbelievably skittish. A few Greenies coaxed her back out, so all is well.

Tiny decided to try on the baseball cap. Not that way, Tiny!

That's better.

Thufir had a ball with the mice.

Within 60 seconds, he had lost 2 of them under the fridge. Looks like I need to clean under there!

Tre's not big on toys, but he enjoyed the catnip-filled mouse. Here he is getting his catnip on.

Well, top-notch job on the toys Santa! The kitties had a blast, Promise's skittishness not withstanding. I haven't seen Tiny and Thufir that playful in a long, long time.

So, two issues remain. First is the identity of my SS. My initial guess was mrblanche. A little research on TCS seems to indicate he's from Cedar Hill, so unless there's some top-notch subterfuge going on, I'd like to tip my hat (my new Texans hat) to mrblanche for the gifts.

Now the second issue is what to do with the wrapped presents. They're wrapped, so should I wait until Christmas? Decisions, decisions.

* - Since I'm a nuclear engineer, a lump of coal would be a really huge insult. At least send uranium fuel pellets!

I received my SS yesterday!

Everything was so personal and special that it actually made me cry. I loved it all.

Tigger insisted he needed to be first in the box.

Sampson laying claim to the mice.

Again Tigger just had to be in the middle of everything.

Here is a picture of the loot. Let's see candles ( you can never have enough), lots of cat toys, note pads, cat treats, chocolate for me, wacky world of cats calender, a lovely marble plaque- it says I live in my own little world but it's ok, they know me here - DH said it fits me perfectly.

She even included my dogs. Tennis Balls and dog treats, kitty socks they even have a little tail on the end of the sock.

I tried getting better pictures of the loot but every time I set it up neatly cats were all over everything. There was a bag of catnip that they were just bound and determined it get into.

Now, I've saved the things that touched me the most for last. My SS made me a card and included pictures of all my cats all over this card.
She even added pictures of Jax my little orphan kitten. I love this card so
much.

Another absolute favorite gift was this t-shirt, with ALLLLL of my babies
on it. Cats and dogs!
I love it!!

Now only a few things left. I was very touched by everything I received, but to remember that my son is in the Navy was something I was not expecting and was such a wonderful surprise.

She sent me these buttons as well as lots of Navy stickers that I just
adore. She even included a button for my husband.

I don't think I can express how much these last few things have meant to me. She could not have know that, with one son stationed in Japan and another leaving in February to join the Army, how stressed I've been about the holidays. I needed these wonderful Christmas gifts to lift my
spirit and reminding me just how much I have to be thankful for!

I am almost positive (now) who my SS but I'm waiting for confirmation.

LOL at Samson and the levitating mouse!
Those gifts were so thoughtful and kind.
Love the tee shirt- that's quite a feat to get all your gang on it!
