Apparently the kitten I sent back East has been doing decently at the shows and earned her championship. She is now being entered as open to earn her grand championship and we are hoping for the best over the next few weeks. She turned 8 months just 2 weeks ago, so I'd say it's going well (=

Now if I can just organize to get my girl to a few shows, I'll be happy.

Congratulations, that's wonderful

Wouldn't she now be entered as a Ch. to earn to Gr. Ch? Unless things are different over there, we use open for untitled cats.

Yes, I had that backwards. She was open before, now she can be entered as CH to earn her GC points,

Wonderful! Is this the first of your breedings to accomplish that?
If so, that is a nice milestone to celebrate.

Yes, it's my very first litter. I have the one I kept back entered as an open in November, and the one my sister kept entered as open premier as well. Hopefully we can get some points for them.

My Cleo finaled as a open but you do not get grand points for it.
It is to bad because she might have granded already if they gave points.
Good Luck to you at all the shows.

Congratulations!! You should feel proud
She shows so well, a true testimony to the quality of your foundation lines. I wish we didn't have a continent between us--you deserve to see your pretty girl strut her stuff!

My kitten back East went into her first show as a Champion this weekend and made FIVE all-breed finals! She got 150 of her necessary 200 points to become a Grand Champion! So not quite a one-show CG but close. I am so excited.

This was the one kitten of the four who was a whirling dervish, and I am amazed she is doing so well as a show-cat. She was the worst to medicate when they were sick and had such a forceful personality that she escaped her quarantine cage at her new home back East on her first night there, and slept the rest of the night on her new owner's pillow.

I am only slightly sad that she was a kitten-back as part of the contract so she doesn't have my cattery name on her. My boy's name is in her pedigree however, so if people trace her they will find me. I have my own kitten to show with my cattery name on her so we'll see.

BTW - If you remember me posting a while back about a man gossiping about my kitten back east and how it had a "gasp" glitter coat? This is that same kitten, and I am sure he'll hear through the Mau community that she is doing just fine in the show ring thank you!

Woohoo!

Some copyrighted photos from Chanan from a few weeks ago. These were posted on a website of cats from a recent show. I think I will order some of the prints for my webpage.

So close! At her second show as a champion, she finaled again twice, and is now 12 points from becoming a Grand Champion. So, she is entered in two more shows on upcoming weekends.
