We are dressing up at work on Oct 30. Our team is going as a group of "Hippies" I have a tie dyed T-Shirt, peace sign necklace, rose colored glasses, long black wig and a headband. I just need to get either a peasant skirt or bell bottoms. I will take a pic and post it on the 30th or 31st.

Oh and I am in my 50's. I love to dress up! I won't be home on Halloween as my Church is holding a Harvest Festival and I will be working there.

Nuh uh...might give me away!
I have this bulky sweater I refer to as my "big ugly sweater" that I planned on wearing, with some stuffed kitties and such attached to it. But I'd still need to find a gray wig so I can be the crazy cat lady.

Not sure that I'll do it though.

Also, I'm not sure how to secure our cats, unless we want Scotty to attempt to rip up carpeting, scratch wood doors or the frames, etc. He REALLY hates being locked up.

We've devised a system so it appears like we are floating. It took a while but 3 months and $250 later, we finally got it.

Here's what they look like up close.
That was my favorite all-time episode of Buffy!

Since some individuals already think I'm a witch, I thought I'd dress as myself. Or, maybe an old, nasty female dog.

Not really dressing up, but we are going on a haunted walk

Also, at work we are having crazy hair day so I may indulge in that a little...

I work at a daycare and don't want to freak the babies out, so I found a black tshirt at Walmart that has a cat's belly printed on the front with a pearl collar and tag that says meow, and then there is a tail printed on the back of it. It came with a set of ears, and I plan to paint on some whiskers and a pink nose. Pretty simple, but I haven't dressed up in years. We don't go to parties or anything. The most we do is take our son trick or treating.

I would post my costume, but I can't pull it up.
Once you're done that, start on the Midnight Blood series by Lara Adrian. I am completely hooked!

I'm going low key and being a dead bar wench.
2 years ago DH and I went to a RenFest and I got the full outfit (over $200). So I HAVE to wear it again. The only problem is...I can't wear a bra with it and the undershirt is so thin...maybe masking tape? To stop headlights? (I wore it for the festival...in August...we are talking October now....NOT a good thing!).

For the last 3 years I have wanted to dress up as one of the characters in CATS. I used to have a site saved on my old computer that explained exactly how to do it, but I have since lost that. But, first I have to get real stage make up (which isn't cheap) and then all the accessories (which you can actually buy on E-bay). Not to mention losing enough weight to actually look good in on of those body suits!!

But, for the people dressing up as cats, here is a great video I found to get the effect.....

What about those stick on bras? That might work.... I've seen em at walmart.

They may work! I didn't think about them, since normally my "girls" are too heavy for them but with the corset holding them up, it may actually be a solution. Thanks Chris! Sound much better than masking tape (ouch!)!

If you can find a feather boa some of them are really fluffy.

I don't dress up for Halloween. I didn't enjoy it as a child and as soon as got to the point where I was brave enough to tell my mother I refused to to Halloween any more.

I traded shifts with a co-worker who has young children, so I'll be working and she'll be dressing up with her kids. That works for me.

^Tying a feather boa to me is the last thing I'd want to do at my house. All four cats would be on me and I suspect even the kittens would decide shedding it was a splendid idea. I'd become a giant cat toy...

Point - those with feather boas, hide them from your cats!

I'll probably dress up as a sexy kitty again
. I've got the ears, collar, black skirt, and black corset top, with 8.5" black heels haha. Our pole studio is having a Halloween party on the 30th. Probably will be the only time I get to dress up this year, since we never have anyone come to our house for candy (live on a dark, 5-house road), and we never seem to be invited to anyones house parties!

Last year when I bought the cat ear headband and the bell collar, Nero got big and fluffy and started attacking my legs
!!

Duct tape. Or bandaids. Masking tape doesnt stick that well to skin. The duct tape really doesnt hurt as much as you would think. I always used duct tape under my formals for pageants and stuff. It holds the girls down pretty well! LOL!

I saw those cute little outfits at Walmart too!
Unfortunately I was too fat for any of them and all they made in bigger sizes were the stupid zombie ones with the dumb face bandanna.

I'm glad though because it forced me to improvise, I just hope my costume looks nice once it's all put together.

If you're too big in the cups for the stick on bras, they also sell silicone pasties! (They're reusable, self adhesive, and there's no tugging when you want to remove them.)
