I'm having mixed emotions. I want the job, no doubt about that. A Monday to Friday straight day job is every nurse's dream because shift work sucks! But I'm going to miss having my long stretch of 6 days off in a row and days off during the week to attend doctor appointments etc.

Wheee! It's official!
They got my references at Cancer Care and I was formally offered the job today! I already had it but they had to wait for the paperwork to go through before making it 100% official.
I gave my months notice to my manager on Monday though
I start at Cancer Care on November 23rd at 8am!!
No more uniforms!!! I get to wear "business casual with a lab coat"
I'm so excited and yet so sad
But this is the best move for me at this point in my life. I feel it in my gut. I've been so bored and "stuck" for sometime now, and I need to shake things up.
I am taking a bit of a pay cut though. The pay rate there is about $2.00 less per hour than where I work. Different local unions I guess. But things will eventually be standardized, likely with the next nursing contract, so it may level out at the rate I was getting where I'm currently working.
