I am a nervous wreck!

I posted before about my fun health problems. Well I meet with my Cardiothoracic surgeon tomorrow and should find out when I will be having surgery. And while I am okay with the surgery I am freaking out because the Beau will be leaving for China on Nov. 1st and wont be back until the 23rd!! I was hoping to have him here with me during the surgery! He is actually the only person I care about being here with me. I am really hoping that they can get me into surgery before he leaves but I dont know how likely that is Although with it not being life threatening I may be able to wait until he gets back but I dont know. He may be leaving for Switzerland in early December.... I hate this

Oh honey, I hope you can get your schedules in line. That would just terrify me. I've never actually had "surgery" (knock on wood), but I've have "procedures" that DH HAD to come to (colonoscopy and D&C). Neither one major, but still scary for me and he was very willing to be there for moral support. Of course, it's a big difference between switching work days for a job in town, and switching trips overseas.

If he can't make it, do you at least have someone to take you home and stay with you for a while? I know it's not the same thing but it sounds like it needs to get done. You say it's not life threatening but you use the words "cardio" and "thorasic" in the same...ummm...word...and that sounds like something major to me and needs to be done for your own health.

I hope you can work something out.

yeah I have a lot of family that will be there for me but it just isnt the same...

Okay so I found out good news today!! I have to get a PET scan but they think that this may just be a weird spot in my anatomy from my first surgery and that it may not require surgery or anything major. I hope! I have to wait and find out about a program for assistant with payment before I can get the PET scan but i should know about that soon!

Oh hon, that sounds like good news! Do they think it is just scar tissue or what? I really hope you don't have to have another surgery or anything major. More so that you can get everything worked out and not have to worry about this anymore.

They think that my lymph nodes may just be places oddly and look like something more than they are. And since it is a weird case the first radiologist just said what he thought and didnt know my history. I am hoping to get the PET scan soon so that we can find out what it is for sure. But I am so glad! Plus this means there may be a chance for me to go to Switzerland in December with the Beau! Now just to talk him into that idea!
